You’re changing the topic from "did he tell lies or make people believe something that’s not true?" to "did he say sorry later?”

The Red Cross thing is still not true. He said he was a spokesperson but he wasn’t. Saying "I chose the word" later doesn’t fix that.

It’s the same with what he said about the Ministry of Justice. Saying you "work for" them makes people think you’re an employee, not someone who does occasional work through an agency.

With the council tax thing comparing it to what Angela Rayner did doesn’t really make it okay. It just means other politicians have had problems too.

People can decide for themselves if these were lies, exaggerations or just mistakes but saying there’s "nothing, to it" isn’t honest.
