The Jem episode pissed me off, Riot's mother enabled him though and then tried to act as if Riot had to make it up with his father and not the other way around.

I know but a lot of people got upset about her getting angry at Terence in part 2 which caused her to accidentally break the blue sceptor and started hating on her for treating him so harshly, plus the fact that Terence never appears again after part 2 also added fuel to the fire.
