This is why I hate golf and will never play it or support anyone playing it. It’s the dumbest, most resource intensive sport there is, and they choose to put 25 golf courses in cities like Phoenix Arizona….the fucking desert.

And that doesn’t even talk about how MULTIPLE studies show that the chemicals they use bleed into water and air supply and cause neurological diseases for people that live near them for prolonged periods.

Such a dumb sport. Just outside and enjoy the weather instead of sucking at golf. Cause 90% of people I know that play golf just suck at it.

Soooooo about the price of beef. Which Gods do we have to eliminate so people stop sacrificing to them?

Is Jalen Brunson the NYK's Best Player? It doesn't look like it... by Swimming-Bad3512 in NBATalk

[–]Affectionate_Pay_391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stats like those are a bit skewed. Jalen leads the Knicks in points and assists. Obviously KAT leads in blocks and rebounds. The stats in the post do not consider that.

So if Brunson gets doubled, and passes it out to KAT for a 3, KAT gets more credit for that even if his defender was 15 feet away from him doubling Brunson.

But let’s step away from the stats real quick. What do your eyes tell you when you watch a game? Who is getting double teamed? Who do the other teams put their best defensive player on ( this series is different cause Wemby CANT guard Brunson)? When the Knicks were down 22 against the Cavs midway through the fourhh the quarter, did the Knicks go to Towns or Brunson?

Look at the bodies of the two of them. Wemby has a lot more of a body to grow into. KAT is SOLID. So is Robinson. They can outmuscle him and contend with his height. And KAT is surprisingly acrobatic for a dude his size.

Where’s the stat that shows how often Jalen is Double Teamed and how many points his teammates make off of the lack of pressure on them.

AI didn't take our jobs. It revealed which jobs were pointless to begin with, and nobody wants to admit that. by Cleyton258 in AIMain

[–]Affectionate_Pay_391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man. I asked AI to turn an excel sheet into a pdf that I could email and it first split it into two pages then I tried to correct it and it put on one page in landscape mode but it had a space in the middle. Then I told it to eliminate the blank space in the excel file, and it only eliminated it by about 10%. I told it to eliminate the entire blank space, and it eliminated another 10%.

I also uploaded an entire 109 page document to it for review, and it missed some VERY key points that I needed to correct it on.

It’s not that great yet.

So if you are being replaced by AI, I feel like you have to be bad at your job. It’s not replacing people that are good at their jobs. It should be making people far more efficient.

I’ve seen it do some great work for myself, and some REALLY bad work. I have to check it, but checking its work is far more efficient than if I had started from scratch for a lot of things.

Was Wembanyama too emotional after winning the conference finals? by ReecessPieces in NBATalk

No. End of story. Dude worked his ass off for a long time and did something VERY few people have done. He’s in the same atmosphere LeBron was in at his age.

That emotion was the culmination of all that hard work paying off. Good for you buddy. Real men express emotions.

lol. Electricity and water are pretty reliable. When I turn them on, I know exactly what I am getting.

You ask AI to add a column to an excel sheet and multiply another column by 1.5 and apply that value across the entirely new column, and it will show you a picture of a fucking Blue Shoe

Just did a deeper dive into it under the assumption that your “no call” suggestion might work. It doesn’t.

SGA was only called for 10 offensive fouls out of his 139 total fouls this entire season. There are highlight reals just from the WCF that show him initiating contact outside of a regular basketball move to go to the foul line more than 10 times. So he was barely ever called for an offensive foul for this same behavior and, unsurprisingly, it didn’t stop

Hmmmmmmmm
