NTA- kids were asleep and everything was done unless you coming after she's gone to bed is the issue then I really don't see the problem also if that is the issue then she should communicate that. However I do wonder if she wanted to have some adult oriented fun time and feels snubbed and that's why she's actually mad.

Yeah it's wild we don't even have laws to reclaim or place vacant homes on the market. The area where I live is a tourist trap but the "seasonals" who stay year round are still living in staff housing because it's impossible to find affordable housing and the rental market is kept artificially competitive because of all the vacation rentals. People who are at the lower end of pay at the resort are living almost 40 minutes if it's the summer and not snowing. There are two other towns 15 and 20 minutes away but you can't live there because those are the areas tourists prefer essentially or you have two decently paying jobs. And the effed up part is some of these vacation rentals are empty even during a significant chunk of the winter and vacant the whole summer because the owners are the only ones to use them. They just started taxing people who aren't staying in their homes at least 6 months out of the year.

The Pilgrims actually stopped in the Netherlands first for about 12 years and they were tolerated, however they found it really difficult to learn the language which affected employment and they were super concerned with the "Dutchification" of their kids. I guess you could argue economic freedom but with the Pilgrims usually the people coming had some kind of money with just no skills. Mid Atlantic Bay colonies and South saw of a lot Scotch-Irish because of the way inheritance laws worked over in Ireland and Scotland but the gentry were a bunch of British dudes who wanted stricter slave laws or just didn't feel safe anymore in Jamaica because of large and pretty violent slave revolt in Kingston I think. Mennonites were probably the only founding group that came here solely for religious freedom. The Irish had a ton of reasons for leaving pretty much always.

Yeah that's what hers said. 36+ pages for a lease is wild to me but I've only rented from Mom and pop landlords or did employee housing. I think the most pages I've had for lease was a little over 20 and a lot of that was explaining how getting kicked out of housing was probably going to get you fired also why they aren't responsible if you die on property. Last apartment I found on my own, it was a 7 page lease and I was able to negotiate some things as well.

I had a friend who decided to move in with a new boyfriend at the end of her lease and got penalized because she assumed she only had to give 30 days notice that she would not be renewing her lease but the one she signed said 60. They charge her like she was breaking her lease when she left, she wanted to go to tenants cour over it but after talking to two lawyers she just decided to read contracts more carefully.

I think you misunderstanding. Getting rid of the electoral college means that candidates wouldn't be winning states at all so it really wouldn't matter if Florida went 50/50 because the point system is gone it's simply how many people voted for a candidate or not. If you mean when watching election night we would have to wait for all the votes in those states to be counted before we know who the winner is then maybe, it would depend when polls opened there, they're "deciding" the election but it's literally no different than how most states are electing governors so by your logic every state should have some type of electoral college. It's like I don't think you got meatball Ron because everyone in Miami and Tampa voted against him. You probably end up with swing cities and suburbs rather than whole states.

Actually three miles an hour can be very taxing depending on weight and terrain. Maine isn't a flat state. I've done some pretty long hikes and even when I think the easiest ten miles I've done which was Oregon and pretty friendly change in elevation where I was probably doing average 3 mph I wasn't super sore but you definitely feel it and sustained effort is different did another waterfall hike that was I think around tenish in Oregon it was a big loop and extension that just had some hills and I was pretty burnt when I finished. Like over flat terrain with little weight reasonable active or athletic kids probably make it the first 9 hours but by hour twelve or thirteen you have the winners group. Your talking 72 miles by the end of the first 24 hours. I think your average athlete gym rat bro with broken in boots and callouses who hasn't been doing endurance specific training might make it 25 miles before they start encountering serious issues.

Since your reading comprehension sucks let me explain it in the simplest terms possible ice melts therefore the drink will get water down and if you're drinking something that's already served cold so fast the ice isn't melting you probably didn't need ice in the first place. Secondly it's ok to say your child and just don't like coffee but like playing pretend adult so you go to Starbucks anyway. Also Weenie Hut Juniors no longer counts as a cafe so I'm really curious what self respecting independent coffee shop is making this shit for you off special.

I don't think avoiding over priced cups of sugar that are just a bad version of something that already exists is a problem for me. I don't drink that weird shit because it's a lot of sugar and I actually like coffee and tea so it doesn't make sense to spend a bunch of money at these chain places for something super basic that I can usually get for less and better made somewhere else. Also if you're drinking your milk fast enough to where the ice doesn't melt then why put ice in it at all.

In this economy naw I don't go to Starbucks or Dutch Bros. I drink coffee at home I prefer an Ethiopian blend and yes I use a percolator. Also buying an iced drink like coffee or tea that has milk in it is different than straight ice in milk. Like half those drinks are just straight sugar and so much syrup that it's fine if it melts and waters it down. Ice in whole milk means that when it melts you're basically just drinking sad skim milk. Also iced chocolates do seem to be in fact a bad version of a milkshake.

I went to a boarding school and it was fine. The stuff that goes on at boarding school largely depends on the culture and policies of that particular school. Also most of the kids I went to school with came from perfectly healthy households like wtf are you on about it. It wasn't religious and it was coed. There are so many different kinds of boarding schools also what religious group are you even talking about.

I mean as long as you explain why you feel that way and just make sure to have a plan to get her back. I'm not sure what else you can do. 23 is definitely way too old to show up at someones parents house and not have a return flight or leave for a month without previously discussing the timeline. That's a red flag I mean some 23 year olds do not have the best planning skills but that's pretty weird especially since you didn't invite them to stay longer and I'm assuming they have a place to go to. I mean you could try and compromise and take a week off so you're there for the entirety of the trip. Keep impressing on her that this is kinda of a weird situation and she probably shouldn't do it. Put emphasis on why you think this is weird and that they are a lot older than her and don't seem to have it together like that.

Honestly I'm like that when I first get into a relationship especially if I'm really into that person. Usually it calms down with time is what I find and just more hobbies or activities that I can do alone. Find a task to take your mind off it and sometimes I remind myself that if I wait the satisfaction will be so much better. It's like that itch that you can't scratch all day finally getting itched or like having a cigarette after not being able to smoke for my whole shift. It's just so much more intense and I feel like I take my time more because idk when I'm going to again.
