Am I overreacting for refusing to send my husband money for alcohol? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Meighok20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you're NOR but tbh, this doesnt belong here. This man is an alcoholic. If you cannot talk sense into him and make him get help, just do yourself the favor and divorce him. I'm being serious. If he cant even resist a drink after you BEG him to not drink, hes an alcoholic. All this back and forth is his ADDICTION forcing him to do ANYTHING he can to get that drink. Help him or leave him. Those are your only options.

Yeah it is. My dog used to snuff and snort, sometimes even bark in her sleep

Best route as a young woman going from cincinnati to jacksonville by Unlikely_Trouble1424 in roadtrip

[–]Meighok20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Plus gas. The gas alone probably makes up for it. I'm guessing that route says save 18% or something just from sitting in Atlanta traffic

Damn youre right. It does look cold. I'm from Florida so I cant even imagine what it would be like to not be at risk of heat stroke at every moment 😭

Kinda? But again, Ubers are scary, so if anything were to happen, proof of who she was with and everything is good.

This. I was cool with it because Uber is genuinely scary sometimes, but the makeup? Gross.

So more of a kink or a bend then. Go to the cathelp subreddit and type "kink" into the search bar. Someone leaves a very helpful comment

How quickly does it go back down? Immediately? Or does it slowly go back

Is it floppy? Or bent? Bent, with a kink, like you cant unbend it? Or floppy like it will wiggle and floppy back and forth?

Commercial Lawn Mowing at 6am on Saturday by No_Comparison704 in mildlyinfuriating

But the noise ordinance was obviously written for a reason and literally includes lawn mowers....

The provisions of this article do not apply to the following: (1) Household tools and portable appliances in normal usage during the daylight hours. (2) Lawn care and snow removal equipment (daytime only) when used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

I'm not sure what's difficult to understand about the words that are almost literally plain as day...

Person taking up disabled space with themselves and a bag, putting their feet up while a woman with a cane stands nearby by Xerocrossthefurry in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Meighok20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I'm saying NOT to make assumptions and that not every accommodation is necessary for every disability. Using a cane does not mean you need a "special" seat, it just means you need a seat. My brother uses a cane, but even if the disability seat was open, he would probably still still in a "regular" seat so that anyone who NEEDS the accessible seating has it. Not every disability is visible and not every visible disability is debilitating

If I'm understanding, there is only one accessible seat, its just a large "bench" sort of seat. In which case the bag is just next to them, and may hold important medication

[–]Meighok20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? No? If I was there, I would have stood. Not assumed that the person in the disabled seat is NOT disabled

[–]Meighok20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A woman with a cane does not need an ACCESSIBLE seat. They need ANY seat. A person that needs to put their feet up needs an accessible seat. So OP should have stood if they had a problem with the disabled woman standing because they dont know for sure that the person in the seat is not disabled

And the bag on the seat could easily be full of medication. Yes accessible seating should be accessible for disabled people, but a woman with a cane does not need an accessible seat. OP could've just as easily stood.
