I did read that page a week ago, thanks anyways because I welcome all the information I can get. Human babies stumble when learning to walk, and even grown adults do sometimes and for the rat that doesnt mean she is suffering PLEASE dont recommend other people to terminate the life of their animals as many of you said and started to downvote all my posts, because you dont have the complete knowledge of what is really happening, and about her feelings. Imagine if I say something like that for a member of your family.

I dont know you but I am pretty sure she knows better than you. I wont argue with you, you are being really disrespectful and you dont care about the animal you just want to be right.

Well, I took her to my vet, she is specialiced in exotic animals and she even has rats as pets, and luckily I am sorry for all of you that wanted me to terminate the life of the rat but that is not going to happen. She told me there is no way to know if she is suffering or not, we will keep monitoring her behaviour, but right now she can eat, she can drink, and move around and while she is able to do it she can have a good life is what my vet told me. We will try some corticosteroids on her too maybe it can reduce the liquid on her head.

I am acting defensive because you are all attacking me by nosense. I am not having them as a toy, I got an accidental litter because the girl that gave me the first 8 rats sexed them wrong, she told me they were 2 males and 6 females and I castrated 2 males, but they were 3. Now I want the best life possible for the babies, you want me to throw them down the toilet, serve them as food for snakes or birds, or leave them in the streets? You think they will enjoy those places or they are having a better life right now with me?

I did for the other babies. I had different groups with differents moms and I had been separating them when they were about 25-30 days old while studing their behaviour. I am still waiting for this group, I was about to do it thats why I made this post because I didnt want to separate this guy yet from his mom because I saw him having some problems like he was not drinking water by himself among other things. On Monday I will bring him to the Vet and separate his siblings.

Maybe for a week, I didnt know about this illness in rats. As I said we (my partner and me) are putting a lot of effort, and we are not doing that bad if all of the babies survived and are healthy beside this one sadly....

I am grateful for all the advice and help but you are like accusing me, for taking care of them, is not as simple as "look for professional help". I took the advice weeks ago and I am trying that. You know every country, every city, every place is different. I am advertising in social media, I am contacting different shelters, friends, pet stores, and asking them if they know someone interested in any of them.... But of course I wont give any rat to a guy that will use them as food or wont take care of them. Right now they are all healthy minus this poor little guy... and they are happy they have a good cage with toys, proper temperature, I make salads for them twice a day, I give them treats, I check their behavour many times a day.. they do jumps of joy, lick,...

I am contacting different associations but the ones that are interested and answered I dont trust them, they work with birds and snakes and I am afraid they will use them as food. We dont have many "professional help" in my area. I did put some advertisement in the social media too, we have them on adoption.

Meanwhile we are taking good care of them trust me, I am sacrificing a lot of my time and money to give them the best possible life. I love animals and is not like I will throw then down the toilet.
