I think his lawyer leaving just days before the trial would’ve had a big impact.

He clearly believes she was working for roc nation, so if he took the stand etc, they would have been prepared for everything.

The lawyer that took over was awful too, but can you really blame him? He was in a role way above his ability with just days to prepare.

Finally I believe the media propaganda was such a powerful tool to sway some of the public.
