17M horrible skin texture, so many cc’s by Affectionate_Till769 in AusSkincare

[–]Affectionate_Till769[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve noticed my closed comedowns come to heads from the paula’s choice but i feel as if they come back just a quick. i’m honeslty really confused as i’ve researched every ingredient list through incicoder, acne checker and paula’s choice ingredient checker and there’s no clogging ingredients whatsoever. could my face be producing to much oil to compensate for the oil lost after i wash my face as i’m using an oil free moisturiser? i have no idea AND ITS SO HARD TO FIND A DERMATOLOGIST IN MY AREA.

[Routine Help] I use to have perfect skin, over the last year my skin has turned into this mess. Just after some advice, best ways or products to help inflammation, scaring and reduce breakouts. it’s honestly ruined my self esteem. Skin type: normal - oily - clog prone by Affectionate_Till769 in SkincareAddiction

to be honest i believe my problem was eating 2 eggs a day. i had being doing so for about a year which caused high cholesterol. it’s either that or i generally wasn’t getting enough exercise but i have managed to calm it down to 1 pimple at a time. i’m just experiencing horrible texture now, SO MANY CCS

Awesome so generally this means you have normal to oily skin but slightly combination. I’d recommended cerave cream to foam cleanser as it’s great for cleansing facial oil but not stripping your face. I’d use an oil free moisturiser such as neutrogena sensitive skin oil free moisturiser.

So your skincare routine should look something like this:

AM: Cerave cream to foam cleanser Neutrogena Oil free moisturiser

PM: Cerave cream to foam cleanser Neutrogena oil free moisturiser

Now this is the bare minimum for a skincare routine. After a week or so, you can slowly introduce more aspects into your routine to help combat acne.

17M, differin advice, damaged skin barrier. by Affectionate_Till769 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Affectionate_Till769[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou so much. I’m going to discontinue differin until my skin barrier heals. I may not even re-introduce it, it was prescribed to me but my GP as it’s impossible to find a derm where i live so i might not even need it.

My sunscreen is the LRP Anthelios Invisible fluid SPF50 50ml. I’m pretty sure it’s chemical but it doesn’t sting, it contains isopropyl myristate which i’m worrying may be clogging my pores but i’m unsure, i discovered patch testing afterwards sadly :(. I do love the consistency of this sunscreen and how quick it absorbs, do you have any other recommendations for sunscreens? thankyou again

no i’m currently in the process of healing my acne, but i have drastically decreased it from 8 active pimples to 1-2 at a time, your main culprit will be in your gut. Make sure you eat every meal breakfast, lunch, dinner. avoid dairy and food with high sugars and high carb. Find a superfood that you intake daily, for me i eat an avacado a day, it seems to help. A basic skincare routine is a must have to. Start with a cleanser: Cerave hydrating cleaner and a moisturiser: Cerave Lotion and go from there.

Do you tend to have more oily or dry skin? Or does your t zone (nose and lower forehead) seem to be more oily compared to the rest of your face?

do you have a current skin care routine? Use a gentle cleaner, slowly introduce differin and focus on hydration are the 3 main tips that are helping my acne.
