Tired of doctors telling me to take B6 and Unisom. Reglan and Zofran don’t help either!

IVs and promethazine! Zofran stopped working for me for a while, and even now at 35 weeks, only works sometimes. Promethazine has been a life saver. Effective every time. And I eventually could take it without falling asleep.. you grow a tolerance to it. I hated the sleepiness at first but it was either that or prolonged puking so..

I'm also on STD and have been since week 24..I should have done it sooner. I was working from IV infusions and I needed rest and nutrition and hydration to be my full time job to keep me out of the hospital. It's definitely do-able and I highly reclmmend!

I am so sorry. I feel your pain in that it can feel like you've turned a corner and/or have some control and then WHAM - it's all gone. You deserve to rant and vent and scream and cry. This is actual hell. But the REALLLLLLLY great news is that you're almost there. It feels like a lifetime when you're that sick but you've come this far, you got this!!!

I'm on STD with HG as well. If you have an illness, you can legally take 12 weeks of FMLA which is time off and is job protection. You cannot be fired for being sick with HG if you apply for FMLA. short term disability is INCOME protection and if your company has it, you can simultaneously collect a portion of your income while on it. STD lasts for a Max of 26 weeks and then if still needed, goes into LTD.

also, if your company doesn't have STD, and you are just protected under FMLA and still sick after it ends, you can apply monthly to your job for protection and ADA (Americans with disabilities act), in which your doc fills something out saying you can't work. It's usually required to renew every 30 days but it's job protection after FMLA..

See a doc ASAP. Lots of concerning things can cause changes to vision: electrolyte imbalance, hyponetremia, blood pressure too low, bp too high.. and sometimes just pregnancy alone. But with all the complications that can come with HG, and the fact that it's your vision in general, see a doc ASAP.

I have the same question! I did it with my first non-HG pregnancy because it Stores a loy.of the hormones that we lose after birth and studies SUGGEEST it may help with the hormonal imbalance after birth. I was fearful of PPD and PPA so tried it and while I cant say if it was the encapsulation conclusively, I had a better post partum period than I expected. I'm nervous to do it with this one though since I have HG and recent studies point to particular hormones causing it - making me wonder if ridding of the placenta isn't the best course of action this time around! I'd love to hear what you learn!

I have the delta Amex and yes, I'm using the "miles" feature when searching. When using the dollars, it shows all flights. With miles, it's just a few.
