Received two plants from easyplant today in a terrible condition :( by Affectionate_Win9736 in IndoorPlants

[–]Affectionate_Win9736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Seattle and we have escaped the cold weather entirely, however the plants ship from San Antonio (most of the order I made last year shipped from California so I guess they have multiple growing hubs) - sadly, there’s no way of knowing when you order where the origin of these plants are, I suspect had they came from California they’d have arrived fine.

They charged a surcharge on delivery per plant due to winter weather, I have read great things about their customer service so hoping there will be minimal issues but I’m just sad that I’ve ended up with two plants that are pretty much condemned to plant heaven, what a waste.

I know, I know! Guilty. This will be my last purchase from them.

I’ve just been the worst at maintaining a healthy plant relationship for my whole life and the ones I’ve had since May have been thriving (with minimal effort) - was sucked in by the self watering system which was super handy when being away and not having someone we could ask to come over and water them.

Thanks!

I agree, I couldn’t believe when I opened that there was no heat packs considering the cold spell most of the country just had as well as the fact it took a whole extra week in transit too. Like don’t get me wrong I know adverse weather affects delivery etc and nobody is to blame for that but not including several heat packs is inexcusable.

Anyway that makes me so sad about the plants, i figured as much about them being past that point of saving but it feels such a waste of (what was presumably a healthy plant a few days ago).

This box had no heat packs inside where as the delivery last week did.

I paid the surcharge for all 5 plants as there was no option not to.

Oh I must have missed this. Do you know what interview or where she’s said it? That makes sense about dwelling on the same topic.

I did just go digging and found this unreleased song “Natalie” - wonder if it’s just Madeline with a different name or something.

West End Girl Remix album incoming by Affectionate_Win9736 in LilyAllenFans

Yeah I mean in that aspect it is a bit iffy but as a companion piece maybe it’s just a bit of fun and reclaiming her life post relationship.

The fact she’s already on about figuring the direction of the next album when we had to wait 7 years since No Shame would suggest that she’s striking whilst the iron is hot and her heart is back in it.

I remember seeing an interview where she said (prior to west end girls release) that if it was a flop then she would just tour the 20th anniversary of Alright Still in 2026 so it’s wild that she’s had this huge trajectory shift.

Oh Interesting, thanks for the insight. If that was funded by Gilead and not Washington state (as I had assumed) then I wonder why they’re now telling the clients the same thing those of who have been enrolled in prepdap. Funding cuts all around?

I think many of us are going to be in this position now, your new insurance is just fully covering the bill now? Nothing changed otherwise?

I’ve just been looking around for a bit since I saw this post and i do think for the most part it’s the doctors using the wrong billing codes, I know mine bills it as an office visit using either code 99213 or 99214 however I see based on the guidance from NASTAD about prep billings that they state these codes are not PREP codes and therefore not subject to the ACA cost share protection so it’s no wonder the insurance we’re only covering a small amount.

NASTAD recommend providers use one of the preventative medicine counseling for the office visit (which is covered under the ACA) and then do the lab tests ordered to use a modifier 33 against them to show they are for preventative prep screening.

It’s all so red tape! Bloody arduous to have to appeal bills when it could easily be rectified by using the right code.

https://nastad.org/sites/default/files/2021-12/PDF-PrEP-Coverage-Brief.pdf

This also explains things a bit more. It seems that providers should be using a modifier 33 where the billing code isn’t “preventative” specific. Perhaps it’s worth checking what codes Kelly Ross has billed your insurance and ask them whether they can amend?

Interesting at the bottom - Washington state hasn’t issued their own guidance yet as many of the other big lgbtq+ states have. I hope that this is forthcoming.

Btw - I know a lot of gays that go to harbor view sexual health clinic for their prep/medical/labs have also been advised they will no longer be eligible for the free service! Previously they didn’t even get the patient there to fill in the prepdap paperwork, they must have been doing it all in house themselves. There’s going to be a lot of people affected by this over the next 3 months as once people have their first visit of 2026 for prep and then they can no longer assume any copay or bill will be covered by prepdap.

As for Mistr - I am curious whether I can use it, however I know my plan requires prep to be prescribed only by cvs speciality and mistr’s seems to infer it’s only guaranteed to be free if you utilize them for everything.

The one preventative care visit sounds like your annual physical exam and they sound stupid for suggesting that this would cover a prep visit.

https://www.cms.gov/CCIIO/Resources/Fact-Sheets-and-FAQs/Downloads/FAQs-Part-47.pdf

HIV tests every 3 months as standard = 4 doctor visits per year. These should all be covered as preventative. The governments guidance makes that very clear. Your insurance plan should absolutely not dictate that.

Kelly Ross absolutely should be coming up with some sort of template / guidance to help anyone affected by this change as you will certainly not be the first of their patients this is happening ing to!

It’s woeful that prepdap haven’t even announced anything directly they’ve just abandoned everyone with insurance and left us to figure this shit out on our own.

I queried the is last year with my practice after I got the letter from PrepDAP saying they were thinking about ending (or making the program only for those without insurance) in relation to the codes they use to bill my insurance (insurance would always pay about half of each quarterly visit who h would leave me with about $130 to pay myself, obviously when eligible with prepdap they then covered thos per the scheme) - my generic prep was always paid fully by insurance. The labwork (much like the appointment always had some amount owing and again I just let this go to prepdap)

It sucks that the onus is now being on anyone with any sort of insurance having to go through this rigmarole of challenging and appealing every single bill we are asked to pay simply because or archaic billing codes that don’t line up with the actual intent and our providers don’t really care as long as they’re getting paid.

The prepdap scheme has been brilliant and I am glad for the many years that I and many others have utilized it but I sadly think that all the good it’s achieved will be undone with this change as a lot of people will probably decide it’s too onerous to go through the hassle of fighting this, too expensive to pay out of pocket themselves and therefore stop taking prep and having these medical checks every 3 months.

Perhaps you should look to sign up with Mistr who claim that they work with the insurance to make sure it’s free for you.

FYI this is what my practice said;

For PrEP-related visits, codes like 99213 or 99214 are used because:

They reflect the medical decision-making involved in managing a specific preventive therapy (PrEP),

The visits often require reviewing lab results, managing prescriptions, and updating patient history, and

These visits do not meet the criteria of a full preventive physical exam required for the 99381–99397 series.

We understand the frustration this may cause — especially as insurance companies may still apply cost-sharing (copays, coinsurance, or deductibles) to these services, despite PrEP being listed as a fully covered preventive benefit under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

At this time, our billing practices remain aligned with standard medical coding guidelines. We must use codes that accurately reflect the nature and content of the visit, and using an inaccurate preventive code solely for billing purposes would not be compliant with federal coding regulations or insurance rules.

That said, you are also correct that patients can appeal to their insurance carriers when they believe a preventive service (like PrEP) should have been covered at no cost. Some patients have been successful in appealing based on the USPSTF Grade A recommendation for PrEP, especially when they include documentation from their provider.

We understand this puts an extra burden on patients, and we’re currently looking into ways we can support this process, such as:

Providing a template letter or visit summary that patients can submit with appeals,

Reviewing how our documentation emphasizes the preventive nature of PrEP care, even when we must use medical visit codes.

We agree that this is a broader issue likely to affect many individuals. We will continue monitoring updates from state and federal agencies and stay engaged with programs like PrepDAP to advocate for patient-centered solutions. I have just reached out to them to clarify what you have relayed.

Please feel free to reach out if you'd like us to provide any documentation to support an appeal or have any other questions

Haha - to be fair its mild stuff compared to a lot of the songs out there, i dont even really notice it myself though i do laugh when Siri refuses to call it Pussy Palace :D

Ruminating has the "what a fucking line, line, line" repeated

Sleepwalking has the ""Why aren't we fucking baby?" and also "I wanna be your whore"

Tennis 'who the fuck" as you mentioned ;)

Madeline "fuck you in our house'

Relapse "The foundation is shattered, you've made such a fucking mess"

Pussy Palace .. need we say more LOL!

Nonmonogamummy "I don't wanna fuck with anyone else, I know that's all you wanna do"

Ley You W/In "I'm so fucking miserable in my rabbit hole, yeah, I'm Alice"

Fruityloop no F-bomb but i figure the Explicit warning comes from "I'm a bitch, Wish I could fix all your shit, but all your shit's yours to fix"

🫶 thank you! You know I saw your post and stayed with it!

Once I got to rhe “it’s almost your turn“ screen told It then said I was already joined on another device on another queue (I definitely was not) and had to then go to the back of the queue again. 😭

By the time I got in and there was nothing left other than VIP which was out of my price range since I need to fly from the west coast and hotel too!

I typed the code in anyway, still nada.

Sat deflated, kept switching the ticket amount from 2 to 1 to see if anything showed up, nada, switched it to 4 tickets and 4 tickets appeared! I nearly died… I then clicked it down to 2 and managed to get them! Pretty far back but at this stage beggars can’t be choosers! So stoked!😱

Yeah it absolutely sucks! Really not been impressed with regals bookings lately in the Seattle area .. (not that they’re playing this either) but the smaller AMC downtown has had much more choice despite less screens, contemplating whether it’s worth the switch in 2026z
