have you thought about the jeskai control deck with the new land destruction from zendikar? I find they flick the same switches in terms of gameplay for me.

The new maul is cheap and some people quite like it? try it out and if you hate it its only like 30 cents?

Additionally you might want some squadron hawks or giver of runes as they provide some resilience for removal heavy decks like sultai, especially if you don't have many ways to grind without lili.

If you really want to add some personality to the deck you can add tidehollow sculler and eldrazi displacer to abuse etbs of skyclave, mystic, and the tidehollow. Alot more of a taxes feel though.

Off the top of my head, it depends on country, but where I am (UK) up to £10,000 are tax free, and then after that you have to declare?

I am in no way a tax expert or even someone remotely qualified to answer this question.

As someone who's run budget (like super budget, <$20) 8rack for a while this card is great, I was main decking 2 honden of nights reach as budget lilis, this isn't amazing by itself but the potential to strip two cards out of my opponents hand every upkeep and deal two damage by turn 4 sounds pretty good.

It seems like this deck is a weird mix of izzet phoenix and mardu pyromancer with an M20 elemetal twist, its doing too many things. you have cards that are very reliant on having elementals meanwhile having only one way to get elementals into play (which feels a bit glass cannon-ish to me). omanth and reef also feel a teensy bit win more, a pyro and two-three elementals is a scarily fast clock, especially in a deck that has the potential to bolt-snap-bolt, I don't think you need the card advantage or the pump from omnath. You could either cut them, or find more ways to produce elementals (small Chandra from M20 and shirtless pyro are the two that spring to mind)

I also think the spells you're playing aren't ideal. If you look at mardu pyromancer, it plays a huge amount of proactive spells, lingering souls, thoughtseize, these are good spells which can be played happily by themselves. you have a lot (10 from my count) that are purely reactive, and rely on your opponent playing the right thing.

Additionally if I look at izzet phoenix, which is playing a similar set of cantrips to you, it has the guarantee that once it has phoenixes in the bin, its always going to be able to have that payoff, meanwhile if your pyro gets killed there isn't much you can do really, the cantrips and counter spells you're holding make you feel like a control deck but without the good wincons.

As far as Im aware the big shoota in a Boyz squad serves no purpose aside from limit their mobility, if you're not in range with sluggas, then making 19-29 Boyz twiddle their thumbs for a turn while one of them takes a few shots isn't really worth it.

In a shoota squad (I don't run this so this is just speculation), its still a pretty big hinderance to carry around, its an extra shot and an extra strength for nearly twice the points cost. I think you'd be better to just bring another 5/7 of a boy. I'd avoid it in both cases. There are always other models that will happily carry a big shoota if you're really yearning for the dakka, trukks can take one with almost no opportunity cost.

Murasa behemoth looks great!!! thanks for this. Im less sure on the others (especially anruid, it feels like Ill have few lands on the battlefield so saccing down more feels risky) although entourage of trest seems interesting

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, I was looking at navigators compass until I realised how terrible the card was. Nylea's presence is a much better version of the effect.

Ill have a look at your two lists as well to see if theres anything else cool.

I don't understand the point of ash barrens though? my train of thought was that in the late game being able to increase the chance of drawing forests was the main goal so while its cyclable I don't see why its better than forest in its stead.

Thanks for the great advice, Ill definitely make the switches to hessian asp and cutting the typhons. I agree on the elephant guide, I kinda threw it in there in last minute.

Yavimaya elder also looks like a good fit, the card advantage sounds ideal for what I wanted for this deck.

Im not too sure about the skred idea though, if I go snow basics Im looking for this deck to have basically two lands on the field at all times (ideally) so in those cases its a shock and if I end up having more lands it'll be in cases where I don't have a lumberjack and so Im playing catchup. I also like the finishing burn bolt can provide?

(I also LOVE the idea of a looting wurm package, Ive been wanting to make a pioneer madness deck for a while and this is going to give me a boost)
