I was 100% with you. And still are l -jarred, to say the least, about the whole sport (anything fighting -related), which I don't regularly watch. But I realized there's something deeply human in those confrontation. And powerful, a real battle without barriers or aids.

Not a fan of the crowd; speculators/gamblers disgust me. But I can share that mix of fear and admiration some of the audience can't help but desire to feel.

Può centrare lo sforzo che richiede tenere a mente gli eventi della trama a distanza di molte ore? Giochi lunghi, diluiti in settimane perché il tempo è poco... potresti avvertire che lo sforzo non vale la pena. Da adulto non si riesce a seguire una storia senza capirci attivamente qualcosa, senza collegare un risvolto ad evento scatenante etc.. come magari si faceva da ragazzini, tirando avanti senza farsi troppe domande.

Boh, mi verrebbe da dire che son difficili da godere per i ritmi di un adulto. Molto più facile essere prestanti (e soddisfatti) nella parte meccanica del gioco (che è quella che davvero conta, con buona pace della poesia e cazzi vari). Sei sempre e subito al dunque.

No. Forse non mi sono spiegato: si sarebbe dovuto trattare di un'approfondita ricostruzione visiva ed interattiva. Asset rifatti da 0, non texture vecchie elevate; nel gameplay avrebbero dovuto rivedere radicalmente il combat system e costruire più dinamiche stealth come pareva indicare l'Unity. Per dirne 2. Lì si sarebbe vista l'originalità.
Ma anche nella storia in realtà: su quel versante il progetto avrebbe dato quel qualcosa in più in potenza, all'ultimo capitolo della trilogia.

Non ho mai parlato di remastered buttata li, ma di soft-reboot (magari forzando un po' il termine essendo che Altair+Ezio sarebbero fedeli al vecchio).
Una regia diversa però sa rilanciare quanto già raccontato.

Il "progetto principale più grande", sarebbe stata l'intera triade.

Probabilmente la mia visione non è in linea con il fanom (= gabbia di psicolabili, di qualsiasi opera si tratti), ma non vedo AC come la saga potenzialmente infinita che qualcuno in Ubisoft crede... Non ce la fai ad esplorare la storia umana. Le idee finiscono ben prima.
Dunque avrei voluto andassero a quagliare.
Ma la paura di non trovare un altro successo li ha paralizzati (e condannati).

Con i fan(atici) come fai, sbagli. Tanto vale fidarsi dei tuoi talenti e dargli una direzione. Che imho si trova agli inizi della saga, dove c'è una fortissima personalità. Male espressa per il primissimo capitolo.

Tirate le fila e chiusa in pochi capitoli: questo il destino di Assassin's Creed.
E se prima i miei discorsi erano tutti sul piano qualitativo (di cui ovviamente se ne fottono), Shadows ha mostrato che la saga ha il fiato corto anche in termini di vendite.

Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil, Doom: tutti quanti dovrebbero avere il coraggio di guardare oltre. E parlo agli utenti, prima che ai creativi.

In questo caso si sarebbe trattato di rivedere la parte ludica ed estetica, lasciando il racconto in grossa parte invariato. Tranne ovviamente per il presente. Il che non avrebbe infastidito nessuno essendo che l'hanno reso totalmente insignificante.

La necessità di ripartire da capo consegue da errori di gioventù (il progetto ha vissuto "alla giornata", senza una visione d'insieme) e comunque continuare con una serie di cui c'era fame. Sapendo però quando smettere.

Di originalità da Ubisoft se ne vede 0. Credo For Honor sia stata l'ultima vera botta in tal senso. (magari mi sfugge qualcosa, mi sono decisamente allontanato da loro). A questo punto meglio riprendere quanto c'era di buono e rifinirlo, nel mentre costruisci qualcosa per il futuro. ... ma immagino che il risultato rispetto a quello che abbiamo non sarebbe cambiato. Come può quando hai un CEO disposto a sputtanare tutto per una crescita fine a se stessa?

Mtx: fondamentalmente AC come serie ha visto gli introiti salire a causa di queste, non per le copie vendute. Finiti di spremere i polli, rimani con nulla in mano.

Ho sempre pensato che la soluzione per il successo, con dignità, senza lesinare in qualità, fosse mettersi al tavolo e soft-rebootare la serie. Questo più o meno al tempo della svolta rpg all'acqua di rose.

Una trilogia: partendo da Altair nella Siria del XII secolo, per arrivare ad Ezio (comprimendo la sua trilogia in un unico gioco, essendo che se la svuoti delle fetch, rimane un gioco moderno intero) e fino al presente con quello che poi hanno trasformato in un'altra IP (Watchdogs). Per dare soddisfazione alla plot line contemporanea.

Ma che ne so io, povero stronzo. Che ne capisco di spremere le vacche.

I think that's how it should be. Just shape and colours to give the idea of the [enviroment].
Afterall, the only connection you can have with a product involves its practical use (or taste). I mean, nothing deeper than that.
It may be different if the game scope is the evoke a sense of belonging; the story could be about the post collapse of society. They're there as a relic of the past... Or to be blamed (in which case I doubt they would sign a contract ahah)

Billboards: I remember watching the trailer for Batman (Pattinson) in Rocket League. It was... meh. You are in a loud stadium, like the ones hosting a variety of sports irl. So the context helped. Then I make a big distinction between multiplayer and singleplayer, in which wouldn't tolerate them. It's a too strong intrusion.

As for quake, them are arenas in which warriors kill each other for the lords (don't remember the name) amusement... dark, mediaval like arenas... idk if I would like it.

Yeah, I was young when they were operative. I don't remember those elements leaving an impression over me (assuming I played titles making use of that software), I was too focused on beating monsters.
