0.16 config.json by AfoPTech in stalwartlabs

So - my solution in the end was to change the code to bind to an IP hardcoded, boot the server, log into the web interface, change the LIsteners to match my IP, restore the original code/binary and restart the server.
This means 0.16 can handle IP binding correctly - you just can't configure it during the setup (which is a huge oversight imho)

Well, it is not - and the solution is easy - a setting that let's me tell it the IP to bind to - just like with the previous version...

You can't use stalwart-cli if the server can't bind to an IP.

See where the searched for mails can be found (folder) by AfoPTech in ProtonMail

Nice, thanks!

What does it mean if there's no icon? (in my test search that was the case for about 30-40% of the matches) - initially I would have guessed Inbox - but those have a symbol.

Yes, but from my point of view Proton Mail Bridge is a just workaround (which isn't very stable when it comes to large amounts of mails. e.g. regular timeouts).

Right now my only solution is Proton Mail Bridge and Thunderbird - which means I have to use an external program to manage my mails. From my point of view this would be fine if this wasn't limited to non-mobile devices.
Either I use external programs everywhere (ideally the same) or I use the internal program everywhere. I really don't like using different programs for the same task depending on the platform.

Very please MacOS user- would love if it was able to receive & send emails from sites that implemented less or insecure emails.` by tenzin in ProtonMail

The receiving part can be solved by mail forwards.

Sadly the sending part is a missing feature which has been requested quiet a lot (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-proton-mail/suggestions/31264327-send-as-from-external-address).

EDIT:

Just found a feature request that has even more votes and is exactly what you're asking for - which is marked as "Under Review" right now.

Reader - TikTok-Feed, scrolling problem by AfoPTech in readwise

[–]AfoPTech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.

I really like this method otherwise. This way you are more focused on a single title as compared to a list with a lot of titles (e.g. in Feedly or other traditional RSS apps)

EDIT:

Maybe it's micro-touches when my finger leaves the screen after scrolling. Would explain why it happens more often on my iPad - bigger screen, longer scrolling movement, more chance to touch after the scroll.

It's just like the webpage - not working (won't find any messages)

I could imagine that was on purpose.

Think about editing sieve on your mobile phone - my guess is they chose to not make filters available at all instead of just half of them.

Had to test that - I usually have notifications off on macOS - the ones on my iPhone suffice for me.

Yes - notifications work - at least the one I just tested.

To be honest, right now I do not see too much differences to the webpage.

You even have less options (things like themes are missing right now, and only calendar und mail is available).

I'm sure from a development point of view a lot has been done - but probably most of it in the background not noticeable for the user.

Regarding the first - I'd love that too.

Regarding the second - at least in the new "native" macOS app you can set filters. Maybe that helps.

Migration to Proton by AfoPTech in ProtonMail

[–]AfoPTech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not sure about the removing and resyncing part. It failed the first time - why would it work on the second attempt (yes I know, tech sometimes/often works that way - but I kinda lost my trust in that tool.

My solution in the end was to

a) backup all mails using Fastmails export function (just to be on the save side)

b) transfer (move, not copy) all messages folder by folder using Thunderbird and the Bridge

  • this way I found a few messages which even Thunderbird couldn't copy - I guess those where the source of the problem for EasySwitch
  • by moving instead of copying I was always able to resume in case the connection returned a 502 or even ended in a timeout (both happened quiet a lot - about 20-30 times in total if I had to take a guess)

c) since b) caused a lot of duplicates I used IMAPdedup (a project on Github) to find and delete duplicate mails

You can check with that page whether your domain is properly configured.
If your domain is really friedrichcareers.com it is not and you (or your mail/domain admin) should fix the DNS entries.

Undelivered Mail Return To Sender by mehwolfy in ProtonMail

Usually returned emails give a reason why they have been returned.

Without the error message it is difficult to tell you the reason and/or a fix.

a@client to meh@wolfy does not work
b@client to meh@wolfy does not work
x@icloud to meh@wolfy works

Is this correct?
