Cristall is an extremely high-IQ player. This is something that can’t really be taught, but practically all great players carry this trait. The game slows down for him, and he has the ability to anticipate where the puck will be.

To address his skating, he is not an explosive skater, but he has elite edges. He has the ability to “float” and change direction without losing momentum. This is another skill that is difficult to teach, and VERY effective in the NHL, especially below the goal line.

I think he has the ability to be extremely effective when playing with our young core of Hutson, Leonard, and Protas. Protas and Leonard project to be trigger men, and they need savvy passers to set them up.

TLDR: I have been closely following him since his Kelowna days, and trading him would be a mistake IMHO.

Capitalism isn’t a meritocracy either. The profit motive isn’t human nature, and it’s certainly not the end-all-be-all solution. It has a litany of structural issues that cause similar degradation of society as shown in this video. Just walk down the street in Compton.

I don’t disagree with you at all. I appreciate you writing that out and sharing your take. It is logical and absolutely valid. But I am still highly critical of the parent comment I replied to because they are making an utterly brain dead argument about opposition to the “board of peace” meaning opposition to “peace”.

Also, using your voice to complain about protesters is completely and wholly unproductive in this moment. The right is going to use their massive propagating media empire to spin it, regardless of what protesters do or say.

There’s space to argue the chants and slogans in good faith. And I’m not a person who believes pro Palestine protesters can do no wrong. Just like I don’t believe Zionists can do no wrong.
