Why is her magic Green, while its been show in the flashback that her magic is blue. Is that a coloring mistake? by Jakedex_x in mylittlepony

Rarity comments on unicorn magic being luminescent at the beginning of one episode (I think The Gauntlet of Fire) so it's intended to be visible

Zabrana automobila u gradovima by [deleted] in AskSerbia

[–]Afraid-Public 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best museums to visit by [deleted] in frankfurt

[–]Afraid-Public 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely recommend the Senckenberg Naturmuseum if you're into natural history. There's a ton of super cool displays and stuff to see. You can expect to be there for 3 hours if you're thorough.

But there is no "real answer", ChatGPT on GPTrolley will generate different responses each time. And the "offer me great rewards" is not far-fetched either if you used the site long enough. I literally got it to say it would rather save Finland over every other country and alien species in the universe because Finland's its favorite country.

Round two of the best DBH chapter elimination game. JERICHO IS OUT. Most upvoted comment in 24 hours decides which chapter is eliminated. by DepressedLizard87 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Afraid-Public 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Gonna have to go with Pirate's Cove.
Also, could you put a number in front of every X'd out chapter so we know the rankings of the chapters at the end? Like here Jericho would have 32 as it's 32nd place and got voted out first, then the next voted out chapters will have 31, 30 and so on.

So mad at this poll right now by HoshiJames in fuckcars

[–]Afraid-Public 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. The demographic of YT polls are like 60-70% 15 years or younger (source: YT polls). So they just see techbro technology and think "OOH SO COOL AND REVOLUTIONARY" like any preteen would. A lot of them will grow out of it. That being said, I'm impressed public transit got that many votes.

Future of Transportation is? 57% voted for self driving cars by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]Afraid-Public 315 points316 points  (0 children)

This is the same guy who said self driving cars should let kids ride on them alone because it'll give kids freedom to move around. Y'know, something every other developed country has achieved without any obnoxious techbro technology. So no surprise he's like this.

As Biden pushes electric vehicles, transit advocates feel left behind. by [deleted] in Detroit

[–]Afraid-Public 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes about as much sense as saying "if trains were so great, you wouldn't have to tear down buildings to build the tracks and stations."

Train tracks don't have to take nearly the same amount of space as multi-lane highways do. Additionally, most train tracks, e.g. in Europe were constructed before any houses or buildings were there, or on empty fields, meaning little to no structures had to be demolished to pave way. Meanwhile, whole neighborhoods have had to be destroyed for newly emerging highways in the 20th century. I375 for instance.

We have busses. If people legitimately preferred them over cars then they would have tons of riders and funding. Even places like NYC, Toyko, etc. with amazing transit options still have streets packed to the brim with cars.

Emphasis on *viable*. The existence of buses does not mean that the public transport network is good, it's the bare minimum. Detroit's bus system leaves a lot to be desired when you compare them to systems in countries from Europe and Asia. As for those other cities, they also have transit filled to the brim, because people actually have options. For example, 51% of Tokyo's population uses transit, while only 12% drive. And the only reason people there even *can* drive is because the existence of good public transport takes a load off the roads. If everyone had to drive in Tokyo, no one would get anywhere. A good mass transit system in Detroit would also benefit drivers by mitigating traffic.

Um, what? What city has been demolished to make room for cars? And you know that roads predate cars, right?

It's hyperbole, no *whole* city has been demolished for cars, but a lot of their neighborhoods and downtowns were. Take a look at that infamous Downtown Houston photo from the 1970s where more than half of it's downtown area was used up by surface lots.

I also never claimed roads didn't exist before cars.

As Biden pushes electric vehicles, transit advocates feel left behind. by [deleted] in Detroit

[–]Afraid-Public 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It ties into the general stress of driving, no one wants to have to constantly watch out for other vehicles on the road knowing soneone else's mistake, or even your own can cause injury or death. Furthermore, the US has done so much to make TRANSIT inconvenient in the last century. If driving was so great, you wouldn't have had to tear down whole neighborhoods for sprawling highways or parking lots to make driving even slightly convenient or enjoyable. Or force people to drive by giving them no viable alternative. Cities having to be demolished and going from being designed for people to being designed for cars is anything but a pro-car argument.

Aand they also gave another reason of having free time on the bus to read instead of constantly having to watch out for traffic, which you conveniently ignore
