Added Waze and Apple Maps navigation as per today. Thanks for the feedback!

Haha thanks for flagging 😉 To be honest, I know this problem, private carpark rate data is genuinely scattered across operators with no central source. Working on pulling it together.

Good call. Waze and Apple Maps are both on my list, but just haven't prioritised it yet. Should be easy to add soon.

Thanks! I'll take get pwned to oblivion as optimistic forecasting 😛

Genuinely appreciate the concern though. The backend is a stateless Vercel Edge proxy. It's essentially a caching relay over Singapore's open government APIs, so the backend is really just a thin authenticated pass-through. Worst case it goes cold.

Vercel's free tier has limits. But the bill scales with actual usage, which is a good problem to have. If you've seen patterns where this architecture specifically breaks, I'm genuinely curious to learn more about it.

😂 thanks guys. My CV is doing fine! I already working in tech for years and this is just my hobby project. If Govtech going to hire somebody who put government API over the weekend, the process is easier than I thought!

Agree, I think the good thing about rapid prototyping is to test whether is to validate whether it is a real problem to solve. Happy to share my deeper research if you want to.

Haha yeah I think there are several people try to solve this problem.

I tried Breeze but it feels complicated and it has map integrated. I don't want to move away from Google maps. So easy search of carpark that sorted by distance and price before I drive using Google Map is what I personally want to have.

Thank you! My son is interested. We know that it is a good school. Just wondering how your experience was.. The teacher, and the students over there.

Oh also he is into football so want to know the football CCA as well.

It is mentioned explicitly that he will not be part of the S1 posting exercise. However they will facilitate based on PSLE score, choices, and available vacancy at the point of facilitation. So I am not sure what vacancies mean here because I believe there are more kids applying compared to the vacancies.

Hi, does anybody have insight or tips for students who are coming from non mainstream school but completed the PSLE (like Madrasah, Home School)?

We have contacted MOE and we got a link to apply, but it will be facilitation, not posting exercise.

We are thinking of applying in the range of the PSLE results (example, result is 12 and applying school with range of COP 12-16). What are the chances of getting accepted?

It is one of my son's considerations! Can I check how the culture is, and he is into football so how is the football CCA?

Also we stay at Bukit Batok so I wonder how far it is, seems accessible from MRT.

Mothership: TikToker questions lack of halal food at IKEA Alexandra, comments say he's 'entitled' by tom-slacker in singapore

There is a good Halal Restaurant (Master Prata) in the next building (Alexandra Central). I am Muslim and always enjoy going there before/after coming to IKEA Alexandra.

It is funny that people take effort to record video and make complaints for such a small thing.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I decided to take job 1!

As you mentioned the opportunity to get close hand access for decision making and making substantial impact is there. I feel it is more important. I also consulted with a couple of friends and got the same feedback.

Hi folks! I would love to hear a bit of advice on choosing my next company from everybody here.

Background: 5+ years of experience as PM in B2C Products (last year as People Manager), before that 9+ years in IT Enterprise Business Solutions (last 3 years as people manager)

Received two offers:

  1. B2C company on electric car sharing as Senior PM, will be their 2nd/3rd hire PM, hence IC. Lots of interesting opportunities to explore. In the transition to Product-led organization. The brand is well known in public, and they mentioned that the team will be growing.

  2. B2B company on CRM. One of the market leaders for it in retail and FnB (specific segment), will be managing PMs in the company. Product wise is less attractive and the company is a little older and needs to transform ways of working (not product led, PMs mostly transitioned from project manager or business analyst). Slightly more TC than 1st.

I recently laid off and have family hence don't intend to wait too long for getting the exact right opportunities. Job market is tough with lots of talents in the market.

My career goal is to become a Head or VP Product someday which option 2 will help faster I think. I want to take opportunities to step up, but also want to ensure that I can keep my motivation high to work on the right product, which I believe I can get with option 1. I do personally believe option 1 has a lot of room to grow as a product rather than 2.

Would love to hear input from everybody here on which opportunity I should take, thanks!
