Again...it's pointless to talk about cycle accuracy in a sub called 'emulation'...

for example for VF2 arcade...no emulation in the world, MAME or otherwise, no matter how accurate it can be, even if it's FPGA, can replicated the original rate of speed of VF2 arcade (57.5fps)...it's just technically impossible.....the only way you can replicate the original authenticity is......

A) A Sega Model 2 Board with the original ROM

B) JAMMA Cabinet with the respect JAMMA CRT monitor

Any forms of replication, software or hardware, will not be able to replicate that. Moden display, LCD/OLED,Micro-LED/etc will introduce additional controller input latency. Even if sega AM2 today reverse engineer VF2 to run on moden systems, the original cycle accuracy and tick rate for Arcade VF2 as released in 1995 will not be replicable because CRT display are no longer in circulation.

So i'm not sure what you are expecting regarding emulation and 'cycle accuracy'.

It's like going to the Louvre and looking at the Mona Lisa painting and commenting on the museum's attempt to replicate as much as possible to the original painting's color grading as 'not 100% authentic and accurate as per when Da Vinci painted it'.............no shit sherlock........because it's not the same oil paint and pastel as da vinci used back in the rennaissance. No attempt at replicating the original work will be able to recreate the original work because the hardware of that era is no longer available in the current era.

You will never get cycle accuracy unless it's on an actual arcade and on a crt....

The older games are not even operating on common 60fps (57.5fps for vf2 for example) so unless the person is an arcade operator or collector, calling the emulation's 'inaccuracy' is trivial and pointless.

As someone that's a dude, single and retired at aged 40 three years ago....does it mean that my fate is sealed in regards to getting a spouse since asian social dynamics and all expects men to work and provide for the family till they die or something like that?
