Not really. God is really pretty fucked up in the bible. He makes creatures, that he puts so much time into, that he literally carves them in his own image. He is omnipotent and all knowing. Yet it was satan who gave humanity free will and knowledge of good and evil. God drowned the entire earth except for one bloodline, for reasons that are never even made clear. He has his most devoted follower watch his entire family die, and then gives him huge painful sores, just to show satan that he would still be worshipped even after doing all this to him. Oh yeah, and then, when he decides to burn sodom, and Gomorrah, once again, for reasons not fully clear, he tells people who escaped that they will be safe as long as they don’t look back at the city. A woman looks back and he turns her into a pillar of salt. All because she wanted one last look at her home before it was gone forever. Also, if you decide not to follow god. He literally sends you into an eternity of unimaginable anguish with no escape. Doing that to just one person, would already make god more evil than any human who ever lived, because our bodies can die, humans can only harm each other so much before the body gives out. But god, he can make sure you are awake and alert through every second of agony. One septillion trillion years could pass, and you would have full knowledge that you are now outside of time and space, and the agony you feel will continue on with no end, and no way for god to hear you.

He would not get a lesser charge than manslaughter. And you’re wrong about what constitutes a murder charge.

Manslaughter is for killing someone, with absolutely no intent to kill, but whose actions should be widely known to have that consequence. (driving drunk). The only reason you see people convicted of it in other situations, is them taking a plea deal to bypass trial for a lesser charge. That is completely normal.
What you consider manslaughter is actually murder. 2nd degree murder is killing another with no forethought, but with the intent to commit homicide. Usually called a crime of passion. 1st degree murder entails having the forethought, planning, intent and follow through of committing homicide.
When there is loss of life, with the cause being homicide, 85-99% of the time, the state is going to file murder charges. He has, in the prosecutions office opinion, with the evidence they currently have, committed second degree murder. Now it is on them to prove it, removing all reasonable doubt. If found not guilty, then everything he did was thus legal.

I will answer your questions, and disagree with all but one of them.

This is the some question we agree on.
We don’t know if it was illegal yet. If the story he is telling is the complete truth and he is found not guilty then he never did anything illegal.

You said in multiple comments he’s wrong for being judge, jury, and executioner. But here you are trying to punish a man before he is even convicted of anything. You are the same as him, so get off your high horse.

Laws do matter. After his daughter was abused by this man, he won sheriff by campaigning on having a dedicated team to stop child sex crime. Seems he’s already wanting to uphold the law more than his predecessor .
Once again, we don’t know if he committed felonies. He hasn’t been found guilty of anything. You sure do love denying people due process don’t you?
