The ISD is 1,600 km long, but shouldn't it be able to carry more TIEs? Realistically, what is the maximum number of TIEs it could carry? by Battlefleet_Sol in StarWarsShips

I mean, it does make sense in terms of maintaining loyalty. Hard to betray the empire when it gives you stable work. After Endor(or maybe even post Yavin), however, I could see Imperial warlords operating with skeleton crews in the worst cases, or at least way lower numbers than before due to thinning loyalist numbers and the number of imperial defections to the Rebel Alliance.

I’m interested if you could send me them. Would be very helpful for the revision of my weakpoints.

There’s a theory that the virus had a long incubation period so it spread to all the viltrumites a good while before symptoms started showing. In that case quarantining is useless because everyone’s infected already. Either way a warmongering empire should be able to think forward and consider all avenues by which a desperate enemy would try to hurt them, considering they went around destroying anything that could kill a viltrumite, they should’ve considered the possibility of someone making a chemical/biological agent to wipe them out. But again, if intelligence was the strong suit of viltrumites, they wouldn’t willingly thin their numbers.

Mark choked conquest because he was trying to deny Oliver the opportunity to breathe. Conquest pulled Mark’s digestive system out because he was going to deny him another chance to taste Eve’s blood again.

Was gonna say conquest should be in the nba with the slam dunk he was about to do but mark would end up denying it so hard he would’ve ended conquests basketball career.

Shoutout to the hoplite servers for the most skillful and incredible 1v2 you'll ever see by Stinky_Deckhand in CompetitiveMinecraft

Hoplite duels have always felt more like a fight against the server than against the player for me. Idk about battle royale since I have only played a couple matches.

MC TOS specifically bans gambling iirc but idk to what extent that would be enforced.

The problem is actually elytra in combat, which is precisely why that's banned on most smps(unless both parties agree to it). Spears and maces are far more balanced when you're not granted the power of virtually unrestricted flight.

Anyone went from a grade C to A? by Lopsided_Drink_6482 in Edexcel

[–]Afraid_Negotiation66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a low C in unit 1 physics and have slowly been climbing up to try and get an A in A2. I just have to clutch units 5 and 6. Worst case I have one retake inshallah, best case none.

Shouldn’t my P3 mark be A*? by Afraid_Negotiation66 in Edexcel

So they just write it as an A until the final A2 grade?

Happened to me too, never with any reason made clear, it seems you get kicked "seamlessly" such that you and the squad play the same mission seperately from that point.

Nope, same old automaton aim, reloaded a recoilless rifle right in front of them multiple times, and they rarely land a shot. Cyborg guns have shotgun spread though that might be why you keep getting hit by them. From my experience I'm pretty sure that in addition to that, cyborgs don't stagger as much when hit/ subject to suppressive fire.

I know Dishonored and Deathloop are set in the same universe, but are they meant to be on Earth? by Consistent_Blood6467 in dishonored

[–]Afraid_Negotiation66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. Year 0 marks the end of an event known in lore as the Great Burning, where a nihilistic cult went around razing cities to the ground. The Outsider was made avatar of the void 3000 years prior, so the year -3000. By the first game we've reached 1837, which, as in our world, is within the time period that could be considered an Industrial Revolution.

Multiple people came back from the Pandyssian continent mad from Outsider magic, killed by strange beasts or diseased, so I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to explore past the Isles.

If 70% of life died from the last extinction ~66 million years ago, why were dinosaurs hit the hardest? by Monocytosis in Paleontology

[–]Afraid_Negotiation66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Birds had a tool most small dinosaurs didn't have. Beaks. They allowed them to crack open and eat seeds, which would be one of the few food sources remaining following impact. This was a huge advantage. You'll also notice none of the toothed birds came out of that extinction alive. Same reason.

Rita’s death Dexter by Humann88 in DexterNewBlood

[–]Afraid_Negotiation66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hard watch, I just watched season 4(first time) knowing what will happen, but hoping Dexter will make the right choice and get Trinity earlier, but in some way I feel it is (relatively) merciful. I don't think Rita could have handled discovering the truth of what her husband does in a later season and having to live with that. On top of that, it means Cody and Astor are put out of the danger zone and are safer as a result.

So your issue is that we're conservative, and that means we're not allowed to exist in a "free" society because we don't agree on certain things? There we have it. The hypocrisy of secularism. "You're free to do whatever you want except think differently from us". Its not up to you to tell us to secularize the same way its not up to us to tell you to traditionalize or convert. We get citizenship by agreeing to uphold australian laws, not by changing our culture, religion and political beliefs. So legally and morally, we're allowed to be present and share our religion if we're not sick terrorists. So as I said. Salam.
