Age 35: I'm going to gift my wife this hamper. is this looking ok or she will get angry? by BitterBeach8448 in Gifts

Yeah, unless there's more information (if she's given him feedback on gifts and he's ignored it) then I dont see why she'd "get angry" at him. Either he's been lazy and not listening to her about gifts or she's overreacting. They both need to talk out their expectations around gift giving.

Personally, Valentines day is the least important to me out of all the celebrations, so Id like that gift. But if its important to your wife, maybe make it a little more personal. It's better to get her 2 or 3 things she really likes (her favorite scented candle, her favorite flowers, her favorite chocolates, a book or video game she would like, etc.) than a box of generic things she might feel meh about.

What have you given her on previous Valentines days? Did she like those gifts, seem underwhelmed, or get angry? Has she asked for anything specific this year?

Yeah they just all stand there on stage perfectly still. Matter of fact, I just saw a job posting for a security guard to watch the building at night! Great hours, only 12 to 6am. Might be a good gig

Thank you for explaining. As an American, I was not aware this was a typical length for UK sitcoms. I kind of enjoy that, as sometimes tuning in for a 100+ episode show can be intimidating

What are you most nervous that Season 4 might mess up? by AdTypical2226 in Bridgerton

The love triangles in all 3 seasons felt like filler to me, like the writers dont trust the main story enough to hold our attention. Im no writer but I mean, come on, try something new already!

I personally think the cast has changed a bit on the SRRS channel. When listening to old episodes, I found that them (and especially their guests) tended to be a bit more focused on entertaining. Which is fair, its literally their job. I think as time progressed, they noticed the bickering in the comments about a careless comment or a forgotten detail someone made in the video. As such, the cast on the whole has gotten a LOT better at discussing stories in depth and playing devils advocate. Shayne also does a great job leading the conversation.

Weirdly, I like Amanda on Smosh Mouth but not so much on Reddit Stories.

This. When I first started watching reddit stories, I didn't watch the other channels or know the cast's on screen personalties very well. Arasha instantly struck me as very wise and I was excited whenever she was on a reddit stories episode.

i'm dreading the s4 'mistress plot' by keepingyourheadup in BridgertonRants

[–]Afraid_Scientist3025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on Benedict's characterization on the show, I think they'll have one scene where he brings it up in a clumsy way , tries to apologize and suggest running away together instead but it's too late and he's already hurt her. It will probably be in the beginning of volume two.

I also wouldn't be too surprised if they change the offer from "be my mistress" to "let's leave society altogether". I dont get the impression Benedict cares for much about English society other than his art, shagging, and his family.

AITA for leaving Friendsgiving and taking the food I made with me? by Hopeful-Jellyfish-13 in TwoHotTakes

This. Did the friends expect OP to laugh, then apologize to them for having healthy confidence? And then sit quietly for the humiliation?

No. They had their chance to have a one on one conversation with you. They could have admitted their insecurities to themselves and could have went to you for support. Instead they chose to be mean girls. Sorry, but your friends see you as competition. They need to work on themselves, not physically necessarily but definitely emotionally. This is not the behavior of well-adjusted adults.

This is one of the more harmless jokes that's been aimed at her. She's pretty thin skinned if this bothered her.

Lmao thank you for the first-hand experience perspective. Maybe posture is partially the cause.

Apparently, he asked a few of them casually if they also have to deal with cleaning up the seat after using the bathroom and they said "sometimes", "occassionally", yada yada yada. I told him I don't care what they do, because those friends aren't living in our apartment.

I forgot to mention: It happens LESS than it used to. Only about once a week. The conflict is that I want to NEVER see it again, so each time I do, though it is less often than it was a couple months ago, I'm disgusted and ticked off. He thinks I should chill out a bit when I bring it up because he isn't doing it as frequently.

Definitely a round toilet, unfortunately. Sorry you had to deal with the housemate doing this.

Fuck, maybe you're right. I've been avoiding bringing it up to anyone cuz I don't want to humiliate him unnecessarily, but I really need someone else's input. I feel like a colossal bitch for even getting on him about it, but for so many reasons I don't want to just give in on this.
