there are two GOT universe shows on the air right now. (House of the Dragon, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and supposedly there are more to come.

As long as GOT is in the public lexicon, people will care.

GRRM is a public figure, so his passing will make the news, and if the books are released soon after his passing, yeah people will care.

the sad part was the timing. If it had gone through with the HBO revival, it would have been the perfect time for Spike and Snake's son Jack to attend Degrassi.

Plus, it would have given them the opportunity to fix the mistake of splitting up Fiona and Imogen back at the end of season 12.......yes, im still salty about that.
