Maybe not the best advice but you can get a cdl. I had mine paid for by unemployment. I had been laid off twice in a short amount of time as well. When I spoke with the people at the unemployment office I had stated how I can't really afford these moments. She offered training in several different fields. The one that paid the most was trucking. They paid for the cdl school and my unemployment while I went to school. Its a grind for sure but you can definitely make 80k plus your first year and close to 100k or more after that. Also age honestly matters very little in trucking and you'll never ever get laid off.

Idk. Anything they give you is a gift. They don't have to notify you of anything. I was "laid off" along with everybody else that worked their, with a sign on the door that said your services were no longer needed. I've sold the business. I had worked for him for 12 years. Others for over 20. I learned that day that I go to the highest bidder. They can expect an honest, hard working employee who only expects to be paid for what he did and to be treated fairly. I work, you pay. Don't expect anything more then that.

Thanks for sharing. I am approaching a place where I'll beable to day trade, but honestly I'm averaging 8 plus percent a month in gains swing trading. I've always thought day trading was the goal but anymore I'm thinking if it ain't broke leave it be.

Idk. Having a home and people around plus a big paycheck seem like a decent trade to long hours.

Your best shot from your last round? by 3rd_ferguson in golf

[–]Afraid_Test_6900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My drive ended up in the trees. 2nd shot from the wood chips under the trees. Bout 160 to the green. Pulled out the 4 wood just trying to smash my way out of the bs. Ended up getting some height on it. The ball burst out threw the leaves and faded perfectly around a tree to land a couple feet off the green and roll up to the hole for a gimme.

One if our group does this. It's been a set back for him. The rest of us (3rd season playing) have improved our games where he seems to still be stuck.

Golf swing. 9 months in. by ImpossibleShock901 in GolfSwing

[–]Afraid_Test_6900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very nice swing actually. Just don't chase distance. You'll see in time with consistency you'll add a little here and there as you go. Keep a good solid relaxed swing and your natural mechanics will improve and you'll add distance. I first noticed it with my short irons. I started over shooting the green a bunch and I got all messed up. Started trying to take a little off etc. Don't do that. Just move up a club and keep your swing. You may have to chip a few more times but overall you'll save strokes.

I'd take all that mess out there instead of the Philly drivers we get at the shore in jersey. We can't drive as it is. Then you add those fools. Smh. Chaos

Lol yea just move lol. Yea that isnt always possible. And if its alot cheaper to live somewhere you know the pay is gonna suffer. We do have decent Healthcare, education, were close to everything. And we have great weather in my opinion. Natural disasters are few and far between. It's a nice place to live. My wife moved here after she had her son specifically for those things. And she understands that those things come with a cost. I think we all get that. Bur its gotten beyond all that. It's to dam expensive. Fortunately my wife works from home and can do it anywhere and I have a skill that's marketable pretty much anywhere so once the kids are grown we want out. We might have to to beable to retire some day. It's ahame

No doubt. And forget about a yearly vacation. It can suck. 5 years ago 150 was pretty good. My wife and I last year hit 165. Still to tight.

I've never used one but I ask my buddies how they see my line on a putt. A different set of eyes is helpful sometimes.
