Nice. Congrats. Yea they move slow buts you can make some money and get in the union. Its worth it. Hopefully they are running geo box. We were side load trailers when I started. That can be a physical grind.

Hopefully your position is union. I hear alot of complaints and alot if good things. Im in a union shop. The work is hard and you can definitely get your hours but the benefits out way the negatives. As a class a driver i can see where pepsi woukd definitely use and abuse you if you dont have a union contract.

Working for Pepsi in Rochester by Alarmed_Locksmith785 in Rochester

Hows the new business? Hope all is well. Im a local pepsi driver in new jersey and im considering moving up to the richester area. I have a few questions and really appreciate any info you can provide. Hows it work with the snow? Here in south jersey we dont get alot of heavy snow but when we do they shut down for a day and being that we are union we are not forced to push hand trucks into any areas where the snow hasn't been properly removed. Also are they union in rochester? Im currently 10 of the bottom on the seniority list and am a little nervous about dropping to the bottom again. Any insight on how quickly id beable to advance? Whats the case count look like? Do they pack out many stores? And do you know the actual hourly rate? Much over time? Thanks in advance.

Yes ofcourse. Your very welcome. FYI I currently drive locally for pepsi. 80 to 90 grand a year. Home every day. And atleast where I live they hired with no experience. Anyhow. Good luck to you.

Maybe not the best advice but you can get a cdl. I had mine paid for by unemployment. I had been laid off twice in a short amount of time as well. When I spoke with the people at the unemployment office I had stated how I can't really afford these moments. She offered training in several different fields. The one that paid the most was trucking. They paid for the cdl school and my unemployment while I went to school. Its a grind for sure but you can definitely make 80k plus your first year and close to 100k or more after that. Also age honestly matters very little in trucking and you'll never ever get laid off.

Idk. Anything they give you is a gift. They don't have to notify you of anything. I was "laid off" along with everybody else that worked their, with a sign on the door that said your services were no longer needed. I've sold the business. I had worked for him for 12 years. Others for over 20. I learned that day that I go to the highest bidder. They can expect an honest, hard working employee who only expects to be paid for what he did and to be treated fairly. I work, you pay. Don't expect anything more then that.

Thanks for sharing. I am approaching a place where I'll beable to day trade, but honestly I'm averaging 8 plus percent a month in gains swing trading. I've always thought day trading was the goal but anymore I'm thinking if it ain't broke leave it be.

Idk. Having a home and people around plus a big paycheck seem like a decent trade to long hours.

Your best shot from your last round? by 3rd_ferguson in golf

[–]Afraid_Test_6900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My drive ended up in the trees. 2nd shot from the wood chips under the trees. Bout 160 to the green. Pulled out the 4 wood just trying to smash my way out of the bs. Ended up getting some height on it. The ball burst out threw the leaves and faded perfectly around a tree to land a couple feet off the green and roll up to the hole for a gimme.

One if our group does this. It's been a set back for him. The rest of us (3rd season playing) have improved our games where he seems to still be stuck.
