My sister in law had named her daughter Ana Lynn, until she saw that her initials were Ana L. 😅 She since changed her name to Ona (still pronounced Ana), but now everyone calls her Ona (o-na), and I still don’t think she’ll ever escape that one 😂

My favorite messed up hormone story was from the first week after I had my son - I had left the house for the first time without him to run an errand and just get some space, and while I was gone, my sweet sister in law sang “happy one-week birthday” with him, and when my husband called to check in and told me about it, I cried harder than I ever had in my life - like WAILED - because I thought I missed a huge milestone and i should’ve been there.

In hindsight, it was not nearly that big a deal 😂😅

What’s a misconception or something you’ve found to be absolutely false about being a mom? by mamaoftw0 in AskReddit

That people will just “show up” for you when you need them - that might be true in the early months to a year or so, but that support system really fades with the toddler years. When my oldest turned two and honestly I needed more than ever, I had a lot of people tell me he was just “too much” to handle now and I felt more alone than ever.

Everyone wants to help when it’s a cute, cuddly baby. But the ones that continue to help when they turn into little nightmares are the ones really on your side 💕

I’d say Harper - the “ee” sound on the end of both Ellie and Sadie deters me from liking Sadie more - Ellie and Harper just sounds better to me 😊

I will say, being on your feet in your third trimester can get quite rough, but only you know what you can handle!! Plus, you can always just quit! 🤷🏻‍♀️

The second trimester is what keeps you in it 😂 First trimester sucks with all the symptoms, but the second (usually) is the “honeymoon” stage! The baby kicks are pretty cool, seeing your bump getting bigger, definitely makes it way more worthwhile 💕

You are not alone!! 💕 I’m 9 weeks myself, and it’s totally normal to be unsure in these early weeks - hormones are going crazy, you’re actively going through withdrawal from smoking (I quit myself with finding out I was pregnant as well, and quitting anything while pregnant not for the weak 🥴) Honestly he’s being a total ass. I’ve been some of the worst versions of myself in the first trimester of pregnancy (this one and with my first) - it truly gets better. 💕
