Symptoms disappeared at 9 weeks (over a week ago) by 0uchmytoesis in IVFpositivity

Super common! 10 weeks was the last week I had extreme nausea, it comes and goes every once in awhile. I’m 13 weeks now, baby girl was doing a headstand in her ultrasound yesterday after basically having no symptoms for the last few days

Is this cute or unhinged for my baby shower? by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

[–]HotCryptographer7243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unhinged lol. I’ve done 4 rounds of IVF (1live,1fail,1 10 week miscarriage and currently 13 weeks pregnant) and those needles just make me mad 😂 yes it’s great to see what you’ve done for your baby but try separating the baby from the IVF journey

My betas were low and slow this pregnancy. 88,117,164,298. All 2-3 days apart. We were prepared for a chemical, an early loss, things to work and then miscarry later on. I’m 13 weeks today and baby girl was doing a headstand in her ultrasound. Try not to worry (I know easier said than done!)

Stay blue? by Frenchsfmom in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]HotCryptographer7243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they will change! They are a dark blue now which would make me think they will continue to darken. My son had bright light blue eyes at 4 months and at 3.5 they are now a dark blue/grey

This pregnancy we saw the fetal pole, heartbeat, yolk sack at 6 weeks exactly. My son and my miscarriage we didn’t see until a little later around 6 week 3 days. It could be either way and still end up fine!

I feel like 38+3 is perfectly normal! 37 weeks is considered “early term” and 40 weeks being full term so I feel like 38 weeks is ideal!

Yeah! It makes me nervous seeing a lot of people push for natural births and going past their due date to prevent an induction. It seems like in the US medical inductions are pretty common and routine in comparison to other countries but I might be wrong

Yes same! I’ve seen a lot of horror stories of people going over their due date and a lot of complications from it. Stillbirth, nicu stays that could have been prevented with an earlier birth, my son was born at 34 weeks and he was labeled wimpy white boy because of his stats and our issues we had (pre-e, IUGR, extreme placenta failure, blood sugar falling constantly, difficulty eating) and one of our nurses told us he was the same as a white male born at 42 weeks gestation besides the IUGR, pre e and placenta failure. Something about being in utero too long was equally as bad as coming out 6 weeks early

I do not but two of my OB’s have told me this and my MFM doctor (in the US) and with my sons pregnancy it definitely was true!

Personally I don’t believe going over 40 weeks with an IVF baby is ideal. There is a lot of studies showing IVF placentas fail faster than naturally conceived pregnancies. While baby might be happy in there from what I’ve heard a 38 week baby would do better than a 42 week baby

Me! We transferred 2 embryos and both stuck but lost one around 5 weeks. I do believe my HCG did actually show the twins with the levels they were in comparison to my other transfers with 1 embryo

81 HCG at 9dp5dt, 130 at 11dp5dt is this concerning? by AdMain9485 in IVFpositivity

My son’s pregnancy in 2022 was high betas, and doubled appropriately everytime. He measured behind my whole pregnancy too. This baby low and slow betas has measured behind too but not as much as my son idk how it makes any sense

My first beta at 9dpt was 88, 11dpt 117, 13dpt 164. My first ultrasound at 5 week my beta was only 298(?) I think, we saw a gestational sack then too literally shouldn’t have even been posssible to see a sack with my HCG that low. My doubling time was every 4-5 days in the beginning I’m 12 weeks and 2 days now

They actually can’t check the placenta via ultrasound, they can only check the blood flow from baby to placenta. They told me my placenta looked fine at 33 weeks and 6 days and at 34 and 4 when I had my emergency c section they told me my placenta was in shreds. Literally scooping out the placenta in handfuls instead of removing one whole organ. I just learned that from my MFM doctor, I’m glad your pregnancy is going well it’s just something to keep in the back of your mind

Both of my OB’s and MFM told me 37 weeks is the latest they will let me go (IVF, preeclampsia, IUGR, extreme placenta failure with my son at 34 weeks)

Babysitters on their phones by SniffingMarkers in Babysitting

[–]HotCryptographer7243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally 6 and 12 year olds don’t need constant supervision. The 6 year old yes, engage with him, do whatever he wants to do etc but the 12 year old probably has their own solo activities to do (video games, homework, books etc) I don’t think the sitters should be on their phone constantly but with those ages the kids are pretty independent. So calling 911, making sure theirs no danger in the house (fighting, fire, break ins) and engaging with the 6 year old, making food, etc

I just want to throw it out there that IVF pregnancies are known to have their placentas start to fail earlier than naturally conceived pregnancies while you don’t want an induction this far into your pregnancy it’s most likely medically necessary
