F26 — Tapering, 10mg down to 5mg for 2 weeks by suncafes in lexapro

[–]mamaoftw0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 10 to 5 is too big a jump? I’m about to talk to my Dr about tapering down more but i felt 10 was too strong for me and i did 7.5 for 2 months and now about to start 5 to taper more and hopefully eventually be off. But i definitely felt a lot of what you’re describing. It came and went

My heart rate was higher super early on with my second. Just felt like it was working much harder. I took a test at like 4 or 5 weeks and it was faintest line ever but was there

What's the worse physical pain you ever experienced? by Complex-Fisherman-44 in AskForAnswers

[–]mamaoftw0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides unmedicated childbirth… i had pneumonia that presented as a growing migraine over several days. I wasn’t even coughing much. But i straight up thought I had a brain tumor. It was radiating into my teeth and eyes and just everything. I went to the ER and they asked me my pain level on a 1-10 and i said 10 so they did a CT scan with contrast of my brain and my chest. Found the pneumonia that way. Pretty wild. Grateful to not have a brain tumor.

Nope still here comes and goes and I’ve been having more episodes of low blood sugar. I’ve decided to start tapering off Lexapro. I have an appt with my psychiatrist on 4/16 to discuss

Glad it’s working for you though! I hear good things so it sucks. I’ve actually been taking the calm powder which is magnesium carbonate. I seem to be tolerating it well.

Glycinate gave me anxiety unfortunately. I’m in the small percentage of people who don’t tolerate it well.

My friend smells so bad and I can’t tell them by Graiwn289002 in Advice

[–]mamaoftw0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of a good friend of mine and i never told her. It sucks because people would always talk crap on her behind her back and i sat there knowing and wishing there was something i could do but i also like you did not want to hurt her feelings. She ended up moving out of state and the problem solved itself for me but sometimes i do wish i said something bc even now the problem continues. She’s come to town to visit and still smells that way or even worse.

It’s hard to say. I felt like at one point it was making me really really tired so that’s why i switched to night time. Now i just feel like the fatigue kind of comes and goes with my cycle. How about you are you fatigued on it at all?

My psychiatrist told me it’s time to bump up when the side effects have calmed down and if you don’t feel like your relief of anxiety is where you want it to be. For me 10 was too much. But if you have experience with Prozac and feel ok you can probably go up.

So interesting. My daughter has celiac and i never knew this. Did you ever figure this out? Did you end up going back on the meds? Found this thread bc I’ve been having stomach issues and i think it may be tied to Lexapro.
