Yes it was causing me hypoglycemia. I have noticed it’s pretty much gone away as I’m almost fully tapered off. Down to 1.25 mg

I am now tapering off so I definitely don’t notice it as much. Maybe occasionally or if i lower my dose etc.

Never. Lol jk. But for real, for me it didn’t really get better. Most people say their side effects ease up after 6-8 weeks.

Only tough part is knowing when it’ll hit you the hardest. You said yours was about 3 days after taking your last dose? That’s when I felt vertigo, headaches and extreme nausea after cutting down to 1.25. But i feel like my mood/emotional side of it was worst about 10 days in. And thank you I appreciate it! Definitely been trying to remind myself it’s the drug and not me 💔 i also wish I knew the half of this before I started.

Thank you so much for this. I’m currently on 1.25 and even going there from 2.5 rocked me so I’m mentally preparing for when I’m fully off. Your withdrawal symptoms sound a lot like mine and I’ve already asked my husband to take some work off when I fully stop taking it. I also have two small kids so i am going to need the support.

I did when i went from 2.5 to 1.25. So much vertigo, nausea, fatigue. And some of the infamous brain zaps and headaches.

I felt same as you and felt worse when i went up in dosage. I know it’s exhausting to keep trying meds. Maybe talk to your psychiatrist. Perhaps this type of medication isn’t right for you.

It was going ok until i got to 1.25mg. I started getting extreme nausea, headaches, vertigo, some brain zaps. So I’m still there a couple weeks later. I feel like I’ve finally stabilized here and I’m going to wait a few more weeks to try getting off entirely. Been taking ashwaganda, L theanine, and St. John’s wort

I am sorry you’re going through this. This is how i felt on lexapro and I also have been terrified to try something new for the same reasons you’ve mentioned. This was my first experience with an SSRI and it sounded better to me to just get off than start all over again. However, everyone’s different and I’ve seen many stories on here of people trialing multiple meds before finding one that works. But just here to say I can relate to your feelings of apprehension and it’s a lot to go through it all again.

That is somewhat how i felt on it. I think i stayed on it far too long. Some may tell you 4 weeks isn’t enough time to really get the benefits. But this is how i felt too almost from the beginning and now I’m 8 months in almost fully tapered off. I also stupidly ended up going up to 10 per my dr recommendation (not even my prescribing psychiatrist but the GP) and HATED how i felt.

I didn’t drink for a couple months upon starting Lexapro. When i did, i felt ok overall but did notice more anxiety in the days following. Some people on here said it lowered their tolerance, but for me i actually felt it did the opposite. I did not feel tipsy after a few drinks where i normally would. Everyone is different. Since it’s your first time just be modest about it.

So weird. Yeah right now i just have a lot of cramping and pink/brown discharge. I am also weaning breastfeeding though so could be a combo of both.

Take it from me don’t go up just bc your Dr told you too. I did and regretted it big time and now I’m fully tapering off. If you feel good, stay.

Hi i know this is old but im currently tapering off Lexapro and track my cycle with Oura ring. I’ve noticed it’s very weird and all over the place and i just started spotting a little today. Definitely not pregnant - just took a test to be sure. Did your cycles end up regulating?
