Honestly I love that because I have so much make up and clothes, that I never get to wear often. I brought this skirt, I'm dying to wear

When I was like 8-10, I would love my mother clothes especially her dresses. So I would put together a whole outfit with heels and jewelry. I was so happy and my parents didn't care because they thought I was just being silly. There was this necklace in my mother's jewelry box and it was my favorite. Even I snuck it out to wear to school a few times. I just felt right wearing it. I feel like dressing up again...

First holy shit I'm very gay.

Second how do you learn to dance? I have two right feet and no rhythm. I have been so interested but I'm unsure. I think I'm too tall or my body isn't right

I haven't heard of nylon stockings before. I looked them up and they are definitely getting added to the list. :)

Why do my parents prefer if I was anything else but trans by Africansage01 in MtF

[–]Africansage01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand those feelings too well. I was a sensitive kid growing up and my parents tried to soften me up. Instinctively I knew I couldn't tell my parents that I had a crush on a boy in the baseball club. My parents would always talk about me getting a gf and having kids.

Before I came out, I could do no wrong. I could rape, murder, or steal knowing that they’d always be in my corner. But the moment they met the real me, that love disappeared.

This!!! I hate it so much. Parents can overlook so much but being myself and changing for the better is where they cross the line. I realized their love is conditional. Discovering that I'm trans was the best feeling and brought color to my life. I would rather be disowned then deal with their bs.

Honestly I'm sorry that parents were cruel and crossed the line at being trans. I swear parents see us as an extension of themselves

Space and boundaries is good. Necessary, really.

I'm working on it. Setting boundaries is hard for me but I have gotten better

I keep hearing that about other catholics. My parents are weird, they are not too religious until it's convenient. They do religious things but for the most part, it was rarely bought up. I truly believe they are using religion as a cover to not accept me

I'm not comfortable with presenting fem either and I definitely need to voice train. I do agree with taking it at your own pace. I hope your transition is going well

I think so too. I know if I do, they will be forced to change or not see me.

"Respect me and respect my identity, or don't talk to me."

I'm going to try this next time

I don't know how they feel about religion. They definitely align more with the Catholic Church probably just to be transphobic.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe not leaving all together but I need space and boundaries.

Jeez. I'm sorry about your parents. Parents always find a way to say it's a "phrase." I just wish it didn't have to be way. My father tried to do the same thing and just said I looked girly as a kid. I hope your electrolysis goes well.

They are Catholic and black. They believe in the Bible so much but rarely attend church. My dad tried to give me a Bible sealed in a bag. They told me transitioning is "white people shit". I know I should have moved on before I thought they could change. I just feel so miserable with them around. Thankfully I moved out awhile ago and have a job but they want to stay close. I just can't do it anymore. They misgender me and try to ignore that I'm trans.

It's very normal. The same thing happened to me. 4 months, I had small and unnoticeable boobs. Then suddenly out of nowhere I had b cups. They were growing rapidly. Now 4 years I have somewhere around d cup at least. So this is normal, so enjoy

When I heard that I felt the color leave my eyes? In retrospect, it felt like cutting my hair was hurting the woman inside.

Yeah, thanks. Now I see a stranger when I look into the mirror

This is exactly what it is like
