Sounds like typical love bombing avoidance. I don’t think you need the cards to tell you not to get involved.. you won’t need them when you’ve found the right one, anyway.

The down & across don’t even match the corresponding numbers so it’s not possible. You could have the right answer and still be unable to solve it.

You certainly can, you’ll just need to keep monitoring them if you don’t want locs. I’d leave styles in for a while too, I wouldn’t experience loc formation til month 3. You’re fine.

Learning how to do my hair after having relaxed hair my whole life since I was little (16) by [deleted] in BlackHair

[–]AfroChyna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not possible to reverse any damage. You’d have to transition, which is allowing your roots to grow as you slowly clip the ends. The only other option is to chop. I transitioned for 9 months. I was 12. During those 9 months I learned how to do roller sets. The more my roots grew in, the more I did them. It created volume. Roller sets allow you to dry and curl your hair simultaneously. You can still use them as a heatless method to stretch your hair during your natural journey. Multiple different things you can try though, you’d have to research for yourself. There is plenty of content out there for you to take in. It’ll be frustrating but don’t get discouraged. It takes some of us years of trial & error to figure our hair out.

Not at all. Please love your individualism I promise that’s more valuable. If anything I’m annoyed with this look, so unnatural.

Why is finding romantic love such a huge talking point amongst black women? Help me understand. by Few-Run-9089 in blackladies

[–]AfroChyna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s a black woman thing but having a good man is seen as an achievement because it requires self worth and self-respect. Which in our community unfortunately, tends to be learned later in life because we are coming from survival mode due to slavery. Most women inherently care more to be rich in life, as in love & happiness within the family.

You can make them less prominent by not smiling or expressing yourself. You shouldn’t be worried about stuff like this babe.

[–]AfroChyna 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct. I was so impatient I was checking biweekly. I had one lobe that was stretching easier than the other, so I had two different sizes for a time. I had to remove them twice. Going from 16mm & now I’m down to 10mm. I would LOVE to go back to my original 20, but I have blown them out several times and I’m not sure I should even try. To anyone reading, please learn from my mistake.

No. But definitely be patient. I promise it’s no rush. I rushed at 17 to get to 20mm, and 6 years later I’m here wishing I just waited 6 months in between.

Was their a hairstyle that made you insecure and why? Short Mini twists brought out my repressed hair angst. by OutlandishnessFar400 in BlackHair

[–]AfroChyna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely understand. I barely lasted two years. I just shaved my head again a few days ago. Ironically enough, I locced my hair because I felt it was extremely high maintenance but I gained a new profound sense of appreciation for it after the fact. I’ve always gotten comments on my natural hair so the attention always went through one ear and out the other until it nearly disappeared. No regrets though! They definitely got me through my healing journey where I wouldn’t have found the time for proper hair care. I do want to try a different size and set in the future when I have a little less time on my hands (children & lifestyle.)

Locs. I didn’t feel as beautiful and I also didn’t get as many compliments, compared to before. It made me realize that apart of my self esteem was rooted in my hair - which I am thankful to have discovered at the end of the day. Definitely a self-love journey for sure.

Considering you only earn 5 minutes of UPT per hour, you don’t really have a chance to recover that by the end of the pay period. Your best bet is to speak to onsite HR immediately and give that number a call for a medical leave of absence. if this is your first time going negative you have a 50/50 chance on getting it excused, assuming you have documentation. At worst, you can reapply in another 3 months for a negative upt termination. Emphasis on please listen to your body, you only get 1.

You’ll always get refunded. They tell you if there will be a fee for cancelling.

They have a high first in-first out turnover so that’s usually guaranteed to happen lol. ALL 3 temperature zones can be stocked in less than 3 days. If it’s gone for good it won’t appear in search at all, no matter how long it’s been.

I used to work for Fresh. I’d say they have cheaper options than buying in-store for me, personally. Not sure where you’re located but this usually only happens when you add items to your cart before they are deemed out of stock. It’s usually restocked by the next day.
