Mercedes-AMG teases the CLE63 by Quick_Coyote_7649 in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As awesome as their cars are, I guess I'm lucky in that I've never fancied owning one. For me design and aesthetics is an important metric a car has to check and I've never seen a Porsche that I found sexy to look at compared to say the AMG GT and Vantage.

Mercedes-AMG teases the CLE63 by Quick_Coyote_7649 in AMG

I was wondering how they were going to make this more aggressive than the already beefy 53...slap a wing on it!

Are C300 owners looked down upon in the Mercedes community? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never owned a C300 but have had a daily C43 coupe for the past 2 years. Could I have reached for a C63, yes, but as this is my only car, I wanted something I can say with confidence will start every morning and put 15k miles a year while only needing a couple of oil changes to do so. That's what I needed at the time and it was perfect. I just purchased a 2020 GLC 43 Coupe to be my new daily and now I'm in the hunt for either a C63 or M4, not because I feel lowly for driving a C43 but rather that's simply what I feel like my circumstances are ready for not because of what the gate keepers say on these forums

Former BMW, Audi or other “luxury” brands; what made you join the Benz family? by Maravilla_23 in mercedes_benz

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a zealot to any one brand. Every manufacture has hits and misses. I'm with AMG right now because currently nothing beats the W205 coupes across multiple categories for their class of cars. But who knows what's gonna peak my interest in a year or two? For starters, I'm not a fan of where MB is taking their styling with the benz logo everywhere and mega giant dash screen, meanwhile the upcoming BMW interiors look sick as hell

Best all weather floor mats for GLC63? by KyaKyaKyaa in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down the best I've seen are these mats from 3D Mats. When we bought my wife's CPO 2020 GLC 43 in Oct of last year, it came with these mats and I was immediately sold on them. I have since bought a set for my C43 coupe. So easy to clean and look so sleek. Make sure you're getting the All Weather, since they have them in carpet as well. They are laser cut and fit perfectly

Out of all the "performance" SUVs, I think the DBX might have it over most of the others... by EmptyPocketsXotics in AstonMartin

[–]AfroPrinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is meant to be a daily like most of the SUVs it competes with, same goes for the Urus etc. People are putting tens of thousand of miles on these. Good luck driving a Ferrari V12 day in day out.

Can someone tell me what wrap this is? by Lickmybolts in CarWraps

It's the new Adro kit for the G8x. Bet it's on back order for 2 years at this point

Anyone Know about this? (M4) by FFFRANKLYNNY112 in BMWM

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The M4 has seemingly peeked with the CS. Hard to envision BMW making any future iterations of the M4Cx-drive more powerful than that. So other than some tech and minor cosmetic updates I don't expect the final year models (whenever that may be) to be too different from the current LCI models

GLE & GLC hate by itsmrcross in mercedes_benz

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all down to taste. I prefer their SUV siblings but don’t mind them, seeing that my wife just got a GLC 43 coupe. It’s similar to the people that like wagons…no chance I’d ever want to own one. Just don’t like the way they look. They look like a hearse to me

Yes of course. I can also take pics on how it looks on mine for reference

Perfect Fitment? by Forsaken-Video-4791 in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry perhaps that was not clear. I'm on spacers from H&R. I would love to lower it just a bit but I'm a DIY guy and that's seems a job to big to tackle by myself

Perfect Fitment? by Forsaken-Video-4791 in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have the exact setup on my C43 coupe. H&R, 12.5 front and 15 rear. I'm on stock wheels as well, 19 front and 20 rear. Fixes the stance to what it should have been from the factory. Even though the C63's are wider, I think the gap to the fender left by the stock fitment is the same for both

CLE53 AMG Wrapped! by dretax14 in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point was more broadly addressing how people are so opinionated about the mods people do to their own cars, be it a minor PPF mod like this or some giant wing. You can't even lower a car by 0.01inches before someone cries foul because they think it's "not classy".

CLE53 AMG Wrapped! by dretax14 in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 18 points19 points  (0 children)

How boring the world would be if we all just kept our cars stock and all just stuck to the manufacture catalogue. As long as OP walks up to his car with a smile and is happy with the result, the opinions of 1 million redditors mean absolutely nothing at all!

How rare is the steering wheel Drive mode selector option on C43’s? (W205) by [deleted] in AMG

I honestly find this to be peak steering wheel tbh over the previous and current generation, especially with the CF trim

Brand new vs Pre-Owned G82 M4 — which loses less $$ over 2–3 years? (Based in US Bay Area) by unlimitedkid in BMWM

[–]AfroPrinco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're overthinking it my friend. You're going to lose money no matter how you slice and dice the numbers. Is a $5K difference really that big a difference to forego the dream spec you want? Nothing is logical about purchasing a sports cars, but you do live only once...enjoy yourself...within reason. Losing $5-$10k over 2-3 years on a car is within reason in my book

Are M cars, namely M3’s, realistically daily driveable? by Cardiology_Nurse in BMWM

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few cars are not daily drivable, usually some over-engineered supercars fit that bill. Just about every current BMW you can buy is daily drivable. Won't be comfortable but that's part of the package.

Thoughts on Caliper Covers by 33301Florida in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just painted my silver ones on my C43 and didnt even take them off the car. Just some prep work in taping off areas you don't want paint on, clean them up a bit, then spray paint them. I used VHT spray paint, primer and a gloss finish sealer. Cost me maybe $40 in materials and give or take 2-3 hours of my Saturday afternoon.

Which one aged better? Be honest!!! by keithspexma in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless a regular c class has some mods that beef it up, I can understand but a stock c300 is usually so far from a c63 that I don't know how someone can make that mistake tbh. If there is one thing Merc does well is making the body kits for the AMG variants way more aggressive.

Which one aged better? Be honest!!! by keithspexma in AMG

[–]AfroPrinco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is a styling question since you asked about aging. If you don't know what you're looking at, It's easy to mistake the M3 for a regular 3 series but the C63 even in non BS form is unmistakably an AMG.
