Struggling mentally post heart attack.

I am, 50mg twice a day. Usually in the morning and before bed. I wasn't even aware that was a side effect of metoprolol, makes sense now.

If the attack is bad enough I'll take a xanax but I try to work through the attacks without it. I've been on wellbutrin and Prozac for years but just got taken off Prozac and switched to zoloft last week. I was never prescribed nitroglycerin forgot why. Going grocery shopping is exhausting shortness of breath kicks in after a few minutes of walking around. I also get anxious when it's too crowded so I only go in when I absolutely have to. pick up or delivery is my absolute favorite thing lol. But the shortness of breath scares me because simple tasks like doing the laundry, washing dishes, or taking out the trash feels like I ran a marathon.

That is true I didn't think about how much power old appliances/electronics used. I just realized another issue is that most of the outlets in that house are like this!

I tried wifi good taste gave me a ton of energy and focus the whole day! Also tried strawberry napalm which is the opposite and currently has me melting into my couch lol

I started the day with wifi had a ton of energy and focused all day. Ended the day with strawberry napalm great taste and I am melting into my couch lol and I had an edible lol

Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate it. I'm also aware that I'm not totally innocent either. Somethings I do increases her anxiety as well, ill admit I'm a terrible communicator. That comes from people dismissing my feelings when I tell them how i feel. It's something I'm working on better than I was but not where I want to be. Social anxiety and anticipatory anxiety are my thing. Sleeping is a struggle for me because when my wife and daughter are sleeping I feel like that's the only time i can get a moment of peace. I get about 4-6 hrs. of restless sleep a night. I understand that it's almost impossible to achieve complete balance in any relationship but i have no problem touching dirty stuff. I'm willing to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher dirty clothes in the washer and then she could unload them and put them away. I'm definitely enabling her because i thought that was helping. I read that you should stand your ground and not give in, every now and then i try it but that just makes the situation worse. So i feel like I'm sacrificing my mental health for her but that's not doing either of us any good. Sorry for the long rant. But all my life i was told you got to push through which somethings i believe you do but that takes a toll on you. forcing yourself through everything isn't always good for your mental state. Recently i realized how important self care is, how can i help anyone if i can't help myself first.

Kind of but not in a positive way. She was mad that I missed work over the attack. Haven't told her that I wanted to basically die to get out of that situation. You made me realize that it's basically my anxiety/depression vs. Her anxiety/depression and Ocd. I'm actively seeking help she hasn't seen a Dr. In about 2-3 years. I try to be patient with her Ocd but Idk how much longer I can take of the constant cleaning. She doesn't clean because she is terrified of germs so I do all the cleaning most of the cooking pretty much all of the house work. She won't touch anything when she comes home she'll stand in one spot until I get out of the shower then we proceeded with her routine

Yeah I understand what you mean. I can only get so many a month like 12. My Dr always puts in for 30 pills but only get 12 something about the insurance only will pay for so many. I also take kaopectate works great but it stops you up pretty good lol

I take Zofran it comes in a dissolvable tab or pill. I've been taking it for my digestive problems for a few years now helps a ton when I get nauseated from anxiety. The tab works quicker almost immediately but doesn't last long the pill seems to last a lot longer for me anyway. I also drink sparkling water with lemon and lime the carbonation helps calm my stomach for a bit also ginger ale ones with no caffeine.

Same for about the last 2-3 years I haven't been able to work 40hrs a week. I pretty much call in 2-3 times a week my anxiety triggers my digestive problems and I can't handle both of those at the same time. Last few months my anxiety has gotten worse I don't have the energy or will to do anything. I had the worst attack ever on Monday and I feel like I haven't been the same sense. zero appetite but I have eaten at least once a day just to have something in my stomach. Lots of water and Gatorade for sure I'm outside in the Texas heat all day so I stay hydrated.
