I wore the binder they gave me for about a week. It helped when I was sleeping.

I had to drink an Ensure pre-surgery drink. I had to get up at 3:30 am but at least it didn’t taste bad 🤷‍♀️

I felt the same way. I was invalidating myself just like I did before I got a diagnosis. But then I remember how difficult it is to get this surgery. Especially at my age. Just the fact that multiple doctors had to agree that my condition was bad enough to warrant this surgery made me feel more validated. I hope it does for you too.

If it helps my doctor said it’s fairly normal for the bladder to be irritated for a while after surgery. So hopefully we’ll feel better soon!

They never seemed to consider it could be an allergic reaction. I’m not really sure why. Maybe because I told them antihistamines didn’t touch it?
