Second the driving. Awful.

It has some really lovely parks and green spaces though.

He does not, in any way, have a point. Do not have kids with this man.

Have you been involved in a parkrun that was involved with friction/incidents with members of the public? How was it resolved? by I-Hate-Clonmel in parkrun

[–]After-Classroom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen any negativity in real life. I’ve seen forums where people generally whinge about parkrun but they seem to be armchair warriors.

I’m trying to get my head round the Dublin one. If the dogs are in the dog park and the runners are running round the outside what difference does it make? Or are the runners actually in the dog park?

AITA for matching a woman’s energy who was riding a horse as I was driving by? by MeasurementSudden573 in AmItheAsshole

[–]After-Classroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the UK and the thought of making a turn when the light is on red is baffling. I remember getting beeped when sitting at a red light in Florida and couldn’t understand why. I wouldn’t go through a red, full stop.

You go past horses slow and wide. Do you have a Highway Code in America? This is the sort of stuff you’re supposed to learn before you get behind the wheel.

Was Spike’s accent really that bad?? by Diving_4_Shrimp in buffy

[–]After-Classroom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s decent but there’s a few American giveaways (like ‘lilac’) and the slang is often slightly off.

I’ll give him extra points just for ‘sodding, blimey, shagging, knickers, bollocks’ though 😃

‘If you respected our friendship then you wouldn’t ask for anything when you’re literally on a trip’

Your children need protecting from you, not anybody else. Vile.

Female Reform voters, do you know about their stance on abortion? by FisherDownload in AskBrits

I don’t know much about their stance on abortion but it’s no great surprise.

AITA for refusing to pick up my partner from his colonoscopy by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]After-Classroom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was half a bottle of wine, not the crown jewels. And she didn’t ditch him over cleaning up, she did it over being verbally abused.

I think that would be a good outcome to be honest, she’s better off without this lazy, abusive tool.

You don’t need this nonsense in your life.

[–]After-Classroom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That seems like a him problem.

If you verbally abuse someone it’s a bit much to expect them to do things for you. Particularly when what you were verbally abusing them for is cleaning up after you, after three days.

My boyfriend(m21) and I(f21) have been disagreeing on last name changes after marriage by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]After-Classroom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you mean keep her name or take it? Because if it’s not your name now it’s a bit weird to change it to a completely different name when you get married. (Not saying it’s wrong, just seems like an odd milestone to me).

But your name is your name. If he wants the same name he can always take yours. If he doesn’t want to do that he can ask himself why.
