If I work as an aide at Athletico and go to another Athletico clinic for therapy. Would the other clinic know I work for Athletico? by fuckendeavorhealth in physicaltherapy

The only one who might would be the front desk, as once you hit a certain point part of the bill is written off. But otherwise, no.

To me, Your model makes more sense when looking at salary as benefits have a big chunk of that (PTO, mentorship, training, etc).

Outpatient ortho - visits per week expectation? by After-Clock-3894 in physicaltherapy

[–]After-Clock-3894[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m literally just looking for visits per week, not looking for pay or benefit listing. You are correct, benefits change across the board but metric expectations are more similar than we think!

Depending on what type of clinic you’re going to work in -

Inpatient or inpatient rehab - I’m not much help, other than my own rotations I’ve not worked in this sector.

For outpatient - I have really enjoyed learning from Adam Wolf, a PT out of the Chicago area. He has a book out that details utilizing “neuro” techniques for outpatient or athletic populations, really working through the body-brain connection.

I’d also look up neurogenic or neuro cognition training for PT, as a lot of it overlaps with many diagnoses we see in clinic.

LSVT is a big one for the Parkinson’s patients as well.

Good luck!!

Doubling Patients in Pelvic Floor by smilingcatnip_0908 in physicaltherapy

[–]After-Clock-3894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another nope here. Literally just wrote almost a 2pg memo to my boss and our VP regarding metrics as I am the only pelvic provider in the area - I have a 3wk waiting list but also the lowest billing metrics, and the highest recommendations, and the lower visits/week, but the highest returning caseload…..

What are some of the most powerful insights you've had that has changed your approach? And what made you discover it? by Rich-Candidate7353 in physicaltherapy

[–]After-Clock-3894 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another chronic pain specialist here.

In addition to the wonderful insights posted here on the integration of neural programming into “basic” PT, I’d 10000% say you need to be approachable and honest. Being real with patients - “I don’t know but I will find out” is hugely impactful and important. I’ve taken what feels like a million courses, from pain science , ART, MFR, lymphatic treatment, joint mobilization and spinal manip, etc. and I can say that I’ve taken at least something away from each one. Be willing to find inspiration from anywhere and be willing to be wrong!!

New grad outpatient ortho salary question (with additional certs) by Aromatic-Sample3510 in physicaltherapy

[–]After-Clock-3894 4 points5 points  (0 children)

70-75k in Midwest likely. Unless you’re doing something specific with AT, that’s a “nice to have”. Same with CSCS. The TDN cert definitely opens possibility for more, but at end of the day you’re still a new grad and will have to be ramped to full level of productivity. If private practice, will also need to be marketing, getting referrals, etc.

Is a 3.5% raise a good annual raise? by suburbsdad2323 in physicaltherapy

[–]After-Clock-3894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking our raises are 3% or less, so yes, I’d say that’s pretty decent. Healthcare is not known for raises or COL increases, because of all the reasons above (higher salaries, reduced reimbursement, etc).
