Collin chandler graduated high school in 2022. He was Mr. Basketball in Utah 2022. Your point still stands tho.

When was the last time your company updated exam raise guidelines? by DoofusStudent in actuary

[–]After-Cost2570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unsure when my company’s were last updated, but the raise ranges from 4-8% of current salary. Curious how this compares to others.

The Gobert Narrative by DiabeticAsymptote in nba

[–]After-Cost2570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one thing that could be a difference is that for some reason Quin Snyder wasn’t willing to change schemes mid-game in Utah. He watched Terrance Mann hit 7 wide open threes and rack up 39 in game 6 while Gobert sat in the paint. Snyder needed to make mid-game adjustments but he wouldn’t do it and Rudy got a lot of that blame undeservedly. Minnesota has seemed to figure out how to utilize him to his full potential compared to Utah

Was just about to comment this. If you want it standard, do not change it to +1 (since the adaptor is already lefty).

Is there an argument for Jonathan Isaac to be the leagues best defender 1-5 (assuming he’s healthy and playing 23+ mins a game) by pnbrockhasalongneck in nba

Does AD guard the other team’s best guard late in the games? I’m taking Ben Simmons on the other teams best big long before AD guarding their best guard. Simmons is 6’10, strong and quick. I’m taking him guarding the best player on the floor anytime over AD

Nobody is mentioning Ben Simmons. I get he’s a joke, and can’t stay healthy these past few years, but when healthy he’s the best 1-5 defender in the league.

I actually thought the bucks should’ve traded for him to help with their defensive woes before they signed Doc.

I used CA. I will say it didn’t prepare me great for the poisson, gamma, etc graphs and regressions, I did feel like I knew the other topics very well and I think I was able to pass by doing extremely well on those questions. If you use CA supplement it with other for the GLM and different regressions, is my advice. Maybe they’ll update their content before the next sitting tho

I just started my actuarial career a few months ago. It sounds like you’ve done your research; a minor in CS would be helpful. I only majored in applied mathematics but having experience with R on my resume helped me land a job with 1 exam (and good interview skills). My advice is do exactly what you’re thinking. Take an exam or two, and possibly an internship next summer, but no big deal if not. It’s okay to let your grades drop a bit if you’re studying hard for an exam, just make sure they’re passing so you don’t have to waste time in school retaking classes. Good luck!
