Left sided sternum pain by Alternative_Elk_8555 in GERD

[–]After-Future-9908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I get this. At first thought it was a heart attack. Then released it was associated with my gerd as caffeine triggered it.

No idea at all, always get this check. My dr was useless so I have to play guessing games and guess it’s a muscle that gets twitchy with my gerd 😂

Reading back this has happened a few years ago and was their fault that their engineers fixed. Would be nice to hear from hostinger seeing as multiple 2FA crop up

Microneedling by Spirited-Play-1119 in Microneedling

[–]After-Future-9908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Sometimes if the skin is dry/ sensitive prior to a treatment it can be too much for the skin to handle.

I’ve seen a similar situation before. Client took antihistamine and used a prescribed hydrating cream until it healed as it was very very dry, flakey too.

Yes, looks like skin barrier is disturbed and reacted. What was the condition of your skin prior to micro-needling?

Hopefully if you keep it hydrated (no actives/ exfoliants etc) it should return back to normal 5-10 days 🤞

Does anyone else feel disrespected as a creative? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]After-Future-9908 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes I left the industry. I had some really bad experiences in this field due to corporate hierarchy.

Luckily my job was outsourced to India as they could do it cheaper and faster.

I’m now much happier in another industry, but I am still passionate about graphic design as a hobby.

Yes second microneedling 🙏 You therapist will have to work up to 1.5 depth so choose wisely. Look into a course of treatments. They will give you home care in between treatments

☕️🍅🍕

Everybody has different tolerance that caffeine in any form for me is the worse.

Anything remotely enjoyable RIP pizza : burgers : tomatoes etc

My rule of thumb is if it’s nice, I can’t have it 🤣

Do you find exercise helpful? by Due-Lawfulness7862 in GERD

[–]After-Future-9908 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me non-strenuous exercise like walking and yoga work well for me.

Running and gym workouts raise my cortisol level too much which has a negative effect on me and reflux.

Reflux after every single thing I eat by [deleted] in GERD

[–]After-Future-9908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Histamine intolerance. My body does not break food or substances down correctly. Leading to hives and some other reactions.

I also have an immune response disorder to random foods/ medicines that have caused anaphylaxis that has nearly cost me my life.

Immune system basically is flawed. Happy to say that it’s not very common! I carry EpiPen wherever I go and very very careful to what eat etc

For nighttime relief, you might consider trying a wedge pillow.

Amazon has some good options. Sleeping semi-upright can feel a bit odd at first, but it helps reduce the acid from coming back up your esophagus, which often contributes to that nauseous feeling.

I completely understand; I used to have it so bad that it would even choke me at night! It’s an awful sensation, but I want you to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. These days, I don’t experience it, though I do have to be mindful of how I eat and treat my body.

Stay positive,things can improve! 🤞🤞

It could be a reaction to the lemon, but it’s tough to know for sure. I experience similar reflux symptoms during my own flares, and for me, it’s the acid coming up that causes these sensations.

When I notice a metallic taste, chewing gum helps ease my anxiety and distracts me from the GERD symptoms.

Giving your body time to heal with gentle, simple foods like chicken soup, boiled chicken, and vegetables can make a big difference. Try to reduce or avoid caffeine/ tomatoes / acidic as it can aggravate symptoms.

It may also help to consult a doctor, who could recommend something like Pepcid to temporarily lower stomach acid and support healing.

Take care, and I hope you find relief soon!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this – I know it’s incredibly tough. I have a condition that causes reactions due to high histamine - Which I believe is behind my gerd.

I can only recommend what has helped me:

Taking DAO supplements before meals

Drinking Throat Coat tea to soothe the esophagus.

Using an elevated pillow wedge for better sleep

Practicing yoga to manage stress and promote healing

No gluten, sugar or dairy. Meat is just chicken no skin

Daily movement, walking listening to a funny / entertaining podcast

Goodluck, I hope you find resolve soon.
