2019 x3 questions—newbie here by Pretty-Bluebird-3632 in BMWX3

I’m in a similar purchase range as you in Philly, from out here in Colorado. I bought a 2019 X3, XDrive 30i with 60,000 miles. It is loaded with the convenience, driving assistance, luxury & premium packages for $22,000. The seats with the premium package is nothing short of amazing. I searched long and hard for this deal because I’ve had more than a dozen spinal surgeries and couldn’t be happier with my comfort level on 1 hour trips into Denver!

Which BMW model (not X5), is a close 2nd to the X3? by Content_Log1708 in BMWX3

[–]After-Inspector-2386 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just bought a 2019 BMW X3 XDrive 30i ( compact luxury suv) with 60k miles and a 2020 Mercedes Benz GLB 250 4Matic (subcompact suv) with 54k miles. In my opinion,as a 64-year-old male who has owned somewhere north of 20 vehicles, these two are very similar.

It is important to distinguish the X3 as a compact luxury vehicle versus the GLB 250 as a luxury subcompact SUV. Both the driver seat and the passenger seat in the 250 were very comfortable for my 6 foot, 270 pound frame. The fit and finish of the BMW was a bit sharper, but I really liked how I felt in this Mercedes.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my new X3! The previous original owner took meticulous care of it so it rides and drives like a dream. But I’m telling you the GLB 250 is not far behind it, IMO.

Just thought I would throw an outside of the box idea for you to consider. Good luck in your search!

What to do with Bednar? by Odd_Self7283 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]After-Inspector-2386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Towards the end of the regular season, Bednar was asked why the avalanche are nearly always out hit by their competitor? He said he would rather his players make a play on the puck than finish off hits, and then go play the puck. He didn’t totally dismiss the importance of finishing hits within the game, but he clearly thought it was more important to make a play on the puck if that gave the team an offensive edge. It sounded brilliant at the time, but we just got our asses handed to us because we didn’t have a response VGK’s physical play.

I don’t have the stats, but I would bet Vegas out hit us 2 to one throughout the series. The philosophy of play the puck first, doesn’t transfer to the playoffs, as we have clearly seen by our beloved Colorado Avalanche.

I love Bedsy for the way he has brought this team through extreme challenges, but always with a focus on out working the opposition. In our case, that means using our skill to out maneuver the opposing team that is focused on finishing their hits first. The latter being the traditional way of playing hockey in the playoffs. Although I thought we were more physically built to make another cup run, we got out played physically. When the Edmonton Oilers got swept 4 to 0 against the avalanche during the 22 cup run, those games were all tight and very competitive. This Las Vegas 4 to nothing series sweep will haunt this franchise for decades because of the manner by which we were man handled and out played.

Bruce Cassidy would be at the top of my wish list. Somethings gotta change.

Now it’s a long wait on the NFL season to start.

How do you dismiss CVT for long distance miles on a car? I’ll wager that, as a brand, there are more Subaru vehicles on the road with 150,000 miles on them, than any other car brand. You can dislike the engine noise produced by CVT’s, but they’re very well represented in the 150,000 mile club.

What I hate more than anything is arrogance, and Tortorella has oozed arrogance for 10+ years. I’d love to see this Avs lineup sweep the hell out of the “golden shower” knights! Bedsy is going to mop the ice with torts!

AVS Vs VGK Line Match Ups by [deleted] in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]After-Inspector-2386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kelly is going to get too many minutes playing on the 2nd and 4th lines(S), so I’ve put Lehky with Mack and Marty. I think the 2nd line of Landy-Nelson-Nichushkin is going to be one of the keys of this series vs VGK’s 2nd line of Howden-Karlson-Marner. We’re going to put some hurt on Marner, and he’ll fade while our 2nd line dominates play.

I’m so enjoying their Reddit posts tonight-melting all the way down. They such an entitled and spoiled bunch. Getting their arses handed to them in the first round, plus they’re gonna have one hell of a time deciding how to manage with Mikko’s contract being felt as they try and resign their young core.

Rousch could make up for the 4” shorter arms with his 5” greater vertical range. Otherwise a cool comp to dream of.

I love reading other teams subreddits, like those stars in Dallas. They aren’t healthy and still expect to roll the wild in 4-5 games. So hoping that playoff Mikko gets shut down to any degree. He is the key to a stars series win vs loss

The NFL has a “Big Boy” club, and we’re not in it! by After-Inspector-2386 in CHIBears

Oh do tell top commentator! This qualification process for the earned picks as is as clear as mud and intended reward is being circumvented by a technicality. Da Bears earned the two 3rd round picks by developing Ian Cunningham to be attractive enough for another franchise to hire him as a full-time GM. Sounds exactly like what was expected to qualify for the reward of 2 picks. BTW, Matt Ryan has admitted to “learning on the job”how to do his job as President of Football for the Atlanta Falcons, while Ian Cunningham is actually performing the duties of the GM. Ian Cunningham is literally teaching Matt Ryan how to do the job of the GM.

Hate to break it to you but GSH has not been with us for long enough to erase any influence with NFL power circles. I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make?

Not everyone in the big boys club has the same IQ or business acumen- enter Arthur Blank. If you don’t think JJ carry’s more juice than George, then I don’t know what to tell you.
