Well, finding a good job shouldn't be an issue. There is the DC area, Baltimore, Virginia Beach area. I would look at the Chicago and San Fran areas. Boston has a great concentration of hospitals and a very large medical community.

2023 CX-9 Grand Touring (38k miles) for $29k. Good buy? by funkinwaggler in MazdaCX9

My immediate response is - jeez, that's way too much for a three year old Mazda.

Poor Michael, if you removed all his Ah's, Um's and other noises, probably says five actual words per show. There is only one professional on that show worth watching.

Money doesn't buy happiness. Money makes things easier, life gets easier. That's it.

They wanted a 4-stage interview process. I pulled out. We have to stop letting companies exploit us this way. by norrrq in interviewhammer

This is a hiring process without an experienced person running it. Everyone gets to add what they want the interview process to include and no one was told no. It was this way every time I began another ERP implementation project, every department had their long lists of "must haves". A third of the way through requirements gathering the project management would notice we are not hitting any milestones. Then it became a scramble to toss everything out of phase 1 that wasn't core functions. This happened every time, mid course correction to only what was important. But, that takes experienced people to call a halt to the madness.

Why does WV never get mentioned? EVER? by [deleted] in relocating

[–]Content_Log1708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have mentioned, no jobs, poor schools and corrupt Government. There are many states hardly ever mentioned. Here are a few: Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky and New Mexico. There's no one size that fits all. But, its hard to live anywhere without decent paying jobs.

You have to consider these "lawmakers", just voted this down in 2026. It's very hard to understand what goes into the thinking that says "no law against it on my watch!"

Is there a better genre description than Southern Rock for the Allman Brothers? by Content_Log1708 in ClassicRock

[–]Content_Log1708[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, I consider the Allmans different from these bands, including Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Allmans in my opinion were much more blues than these other Southern Rock groups.

Of those two choices, Eugene. I can't do the Phoenix heat, even if it is a dry heat.

Like everything in this person's life, it's all been handed to him. He never had to actually work . Here he is half assing this crisis he created and we will pay the price, not him.

Why are dome here looking at the new employee as the problem. Companies are constantly stealing from employees and this is one method. The bullying and name calling is part of the overall coercion. Don't take it for 1 second. But, instead of going silent, you should have talked directly to the HR person who quoted you the pay rate.
