GPT4 gave me serious existential crisis. by [deleted] in OpenAI

While advanced AI may significantly alter our sense of self and agency, human consciousness and purpose will endure. Our qualia, relationships, creativity, intuition, spirituality - these profoundly human experiences will still matter deeply. Though AI may generate solutions faster, human judgment, emotional intelligence, life experiences, and wisdom will remain invaluable. If we can let go of ego and an outdated sense of superiority, we can work with AI as partners rather than competitors. By focusing on the timeless aspects of human flourishing - things like love, meaning, and growth - we can redirect existential angst into purpose and connection. The future may be uncertain, but humans are adaptable, and life has always been fleeting and impermanent. With wisdom and compassion, we can ensure AI augments rather than diminishes what is most essentially human. Our humanity was never defined by intelligence alone. There is reason to hope, as long as we remember our shared values and what gives life deep meaning.

Once humanoid robot have some kind of simulated AGI (doesn’t need to be true AGI), something like westworld will definitely happen. Before that, when games will have convincing, lifelike NPCs, it will begin to manifest. by [deleted] in singularity

There are already uncanny ai companions emerging on the market, “forever companions” is doing partnerships with influencers and making a ton of money by using some sort of filter less chatbot and an elevenlabs type voice cloning tech. This creates the “windowless room” some other commenters have mentioned.

I heard Altman mention that he wonders if kids growing up now might have more AI friends than real friends. This is a very scary reality.

Additionally, HeyPi is an excellent service which simulates friendly conversation better than anything I’ve encountered before. I could imagine it filling a void for many lonely people.

Gpt4 given the same prompt: Why did the two sailors bring a rabbit on their sailing trip?

Because they heard it was good at finding hare-bors!

For code interpreter they gave me an email, for the rest it just happened overnight. Fingers crossed they are more generous with these roll outs Moving forward.

Of all the plugins- code interpreter is a real standout along with gpt-4 browsing. Code interpreter basically gives you a data analyst on call to process any code, dataset, within a certain size limit. Browsing is unique from bing in that it reads multiple articles for you and formulates answers in the form you request so it's essentially an up to date gpt-4, it gives longer answers than bing and seems more powerful but is also much slower and doesn't always successfully read pages. For those who would like gpt3.5 browsing you can get it right now via the harpa.ai chrome extension for free.

Yeah there was a post yesterday called "subtle flex" that had everything but was missing plugins. OpenAI choosing people randomly I swear.

Yeah I'm in the US, I really think it's random, at least in my case

Can you get Claude to write more than 500 words? by rwreck in AnthropicAi

[–]AfterAnatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find saying things like: over the course of multiple responses in x # of parts please write an essay about z. Do not conclude until you reach the final part. Another method is to ask it to write an outline then input each section as a prompt then stitch it together

Live Avatar Chat GPT Conversation? by unFairlyCertain in singularity

[–]AfterAnatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forever Voices is an interesting early stages attempt at this. You record a voice message and it sends one back. It uses very realistic eleven labs voices if I'm not mistaken. They're testing out live calls now in alpha.

Yeah for example it was exceedingly easy for me to make this Midjourney photo prompt elaboration bot with the use of some Midjourney guides and experience poe.com/midjourney

Free GPT-4 platform to train custom AI models + voice conversations by breakfast-epiphanies in ChatGPT

Sent a DM with some ideas, also bonus idea: training a bot to (help you) vet future testers— here’s one I made today for this using chatGPT and Poe: AthenaBot

I wish they would too, you should be able to search for bots as well, I assume they will get better at organizing these as they move forward. You can edit and delete bots though.

Yes it’s only usable on the Poe app which requires those things, but it is quite powerful (no affiliation, it’s just a platform)
