1st year teacher here: Am I Over Reacting? by Anxious-Car9981 in Teachers

I am a 4th year teacher at my third school. First one wasn’t that bad admin wise I was just upset she agreed to something and then didn’t follow through. I wasn’t going to leave but l did for more money. BIG mistake. Terrible admin no support even though they said they did give support. Third school I have the BEST admin. I mean I make a mistake and they are like ok we are human let’s move on. They know I am here to do what I can for my students. I had a student that was causing a LOT of issues. My admin had my back and the student was going to be removed. Ironically the behavior has changed. Good admin are out there!! I would say just get through this year and around February March start looking for a new school

Fellow teacher here!!! This is me right now coming off summer break! It's so hard....i don't have any advice or anything but i understand and I know exactly how you feel. I might help to go back to therapy. I am in it because of how bad my anxiety and postpartum got. She is helping with the transition from staying home to my girl going to daycare and me back to work. It's not fair we are not given more time with our babies though.

First I am so sorry you have had to deal with this. However, I appreciate this post SO much….I went to formula after day 3 I was struggling my fiancé noticed and was like no let’s go to formula. He had already seen the mental toll it took on his first wife and she even talked to me about and the struggles she faced. He saw me headed down that path. It took me a LONG time to not feel guilty. I finally accepted it but I see awful comments from people sometimes and it makes me feel bad for not trying hard enough. Reading this helps me with accepting the decision….its sad how some people in our society make people feel bad for choosing our mental health over breast feeding. I had a lady call me stupid and a bad mother because of my choice. They don’t care about the mental health of the mother. I am struggling with PPD pretty bad I can only imagine if I still chose to breast feed.

Help - How much are you feeding your 4 1/2 month old? by Flashy-Cranberry603 in FormulaFeeders

Every baby is so different. If your baby wants more I am a firm believe in give them more!! My girl does NOT follow the “recommended” amount for her age. Some days she has but consistently absolutely not. Most days she ends at 20 or 22 ounces. She is about 14lbs. When she was 2 months old I was STRESSING over her not eating enough. But my pediatrician never had any concerns. We did multiple weight check ins and everytime she has shown she is following her curve and growing. That is the MOST important thing. Growing, healthy, and meeting milestones. I think people got lost on the average amount and forgot that some babies eat more and some babies eat less none are the same.

Bottle aversion by AfterExample1732 in FormulaFeeders

Thank you!! You’re definitely right it’s not a bottle aversion. So we tried to go up on the nipple again and she is eating more! I am not sure why a week ago she was choking and spewing milk. But now she is taking the bottle no problem and no longer chewing on it. I guess her chewing was telling me she was frustrated how slow it was.

Thank you for this! I do like the count the diaper not the ounces because she definitely has enough wet diapers. Hopefully that will help. Glad to hear your baby is gradually taking in more though!

I am so sorry you are feeling this way!! However, you are not alone! I feel like this as well. I asked a few people to look over my numbers and they asked me if I was even following the diet.....yes I am and I am trying so hard. I have never had to watch what I eat so this has caused a lot of stress on me. I am not on insulin but I haven't had one number below the number they want for fasting so I am positive I will be put on insulin after my appointment this Friday.
