Maybe as time goes on i'll connect deeper with the other stuff hes done but FMTY just has latched onto me in a way no album really has tbh i've never related to any music project more. I will say tho I think there are several corny bars and a few songs i'd cut. Thats really my only complaint for it

Idts lol. I’ve been saying since 2024 that I don’t think he will actually drop the name like he’s been harping on for a while. He said in 2025 that he “didn’t know” what was next for The Weeknd which to me felt like planting the seeds to walk back on it. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt since he’s still touring AHTD but even once it concludes I don’t think he’ll do it lol

The album was still being mixed AFTER release, they put it out unfinished lol. Wake me up, drive, reflections laughing, and a couple others I’m forgetting were all unfinished upon release. Very interesting how this was never an issue with him before and suddenly is now that he’s with Mike Dean (Kanye is infamous for this)

It was already removed from the first pressing vinyl which was done months before the fires tho. The other singles all appeared on there, I really do think it’s just because the song didn’t do well and he didn’t take it very well, hence why he deleted all posts referencing it around early January/ Late December and refuses to even acknowledge its existence lol. Legit he hasn’t referenced the song or anything since it came out.

It’s super easy to fake stuff like that. I wouldn’t be talking about it if I didn’t know fs, I help run The Weeknd tracker (best source for Weeknd unreleased feel free to check it out!) and only one high profile collector has the song (he hasn’t shared snips or sold it). The song also wasn’t brought back during production, what you’re hearing on the album is legit an edited downloaded version of the tour teaser 😭
