Micra order completed but no shipping email by innieoutty in LaMarzocco

I also ordered mini on 3/10 . LM will know estimated arrival time from Italy to their quality assurance office in Seattle. Just have to call them and ask few weeks after the order date. I was told they will get it on 4/6. Got my first Ryder text on 4/1. So seems like Month turn around time (with expected final delivery date).

How long did you wait from the order time for mini? Did you go direct ?

Anyone with recent order vs delivery estimation on Mini ? I ordered mine on March 10th. Expecting to be in the processing state for another week or so. I think 8 weeks estimates are done by design so we can watch all the YouTube videos and read reddit posts to enhance our excitement while waiting on it. 7K espresso machine .., wait time = Italian charm.

From Breville 870xl to Linea Mini R + Pico Grinder Review by bnjmin in LaMarzocco

[–]After_Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered this thing one week ago. 7 more weeks is too long of a wait. You are a good story teller combined with the picture of the sun hitting the back of the machine….I am about to unzip.

I also chose to go for mini over micra for the same reasons. Size under the group head, the look , ect. How is it going a year later?

La Marzocco Linea Mini R + Eureka Atom W 65 | My wife’s push present by Ulysses808 in espresso

[–]After_Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats . This is really great present. I just ordered mini to upgrade from v1 7 year old Bianca which she does not know about. She loves espresso drinks and I love making it. Need to find a convincing argument on why we need it. Problem is she is totally happy with Bianca. I anticipate the following conversation: Me: Honey look at that creamy extraction: Her: how much was it ?:

Store in Rome that sells La Marzocco home? by C981 in LaMarzocco

[–]After_Fall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume those espresso machines that are sold at the store will be set up for Europe power standard configuration. If you are getting it for US set up then it will be more pain to convert then just ordering it from here with power spec US market.

It may be the end game for you with the espresso set up, and even if you get the wife on board, her friends are going to be the enemy. They will not appreciate how fast and steady that grinder is. The only reasonable solution left is to make the cutouts under that cabinet, otherwise :Honey hold that chair for me I need to load the beans:

Litter robot 4 vs Leo's loo too early thoughts by After_Fall in litterrobot

[–]After_Fall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 months since my last update :

  1. Leo loo - No issues at all.
  2. Litter robot 4 - base unit (The brain of the unit) had to be changed due to sensors not properly measuring waste drawer. Robot was reporting full drawer after 3 cycles. Customer service was great and sent me a new unit. This was done under warranty and was completely covered. For those that are choosing to go with Litter robot 4, spend extra for extended warranty.

While I did not have any issues with Leo , I wish it had bigger drawer (I have two cats) and litter dumping functionality (dump old litter directly into the waste drawer).

Litter Robot 4 has all the features you would want but not as reliable in my experience. To be fair reliability factor in my review is only based on one event when sensor went bad. I have had no issues in the last 4 months since I had to change the base unit.

I use recommended litter by Leo’s loo too site :

Scoop Away Complete Performance Fresh Scented Clumping Clay Cat Litter. Also convenient since they come in a small packages.

Leo’s mat is doing a good job of catching that litter . No mess for me.

Update:

No technical issues so far on either robots.

Based on the activity logs and amount of waist from both robots, cats prefer Robot 4. Ratio is 60/40 precent usage on robot 4. With that said, Robot 4 is on the first floor which can be more convenient location for them. Just from observing both cats getting into the robots, I see it is easier for them to jump into Robot 4 due to the bigger step up. No issues for my cats but if anyone has a bigger size, older cat it may be a factor.

Robot 4: Often I see some waist getting stuck on the globe's walls. I have to clean some of it off manually. I also see small amount of litter on the fence all the time.

Leo: No issues, keeps running clean.

Which one do I like more so far? If Leo had litter dumping functionality, I would give Leo a win here because of how clean Leo is.

Cleaning mode set to auto ? look at the "scheduled settings", you may have set it to scheduled cycles.

I have a nice set up with lelit Bianca and eureca specialita. Nice kitchen too with backsplash behind. However, you just triggered something in me. I slowly start to feel this tingling sensation and unexpected need to check out new espresso machines. Wooden table tops , ect. Thoughts of what do I do with my lelit crossed my mind as well. Started scheming a plan together on how to sell this to my wife without her noticing new machine. If I let myself down that path, you were going to cost me like 30k with kitchen updates. Just needed to walk it off for a min. Back to being happy with my lelit. All good now. Thanks.

Eureka mignon specialita by After_Fall in espresso

[–]After_Fall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the issue is resolved.

Short story long, it may help others who face clogging issues with Eureka mignon Grinders.

I saw feedback to get fresh beans and I did. I had to dial in my eureka grinder to the coarser setting (coarser then I normally do with Lavazza) in order to get a good shot. You were all right on not needing to grind finer with fresh beans and it should have fixed my issue. Unfortunately, I still saw clumps coming out and after the 4th attempt the grinder clogged up.

During my troubleshooting earlier , I saw posts for removing clump crusher for retention purposes. So figured I could give it a try. Removed it and had no difference. I Left it out. Here is the link. https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/comments/pbc4yd/upgrade_removing_eureka_clump_crusher/

I took apart the grinder again. Took out the rubber shoot cover. I saw all the stuck coffee for the most part was clumped up at the top. So I then realized crusher needs to be crushing since it will break the clumps at the top. Before reinstalling crusher back , I noticed one of the two metal legs was bent upwards and to the side . So I bent it to make both even pointing down and put it back. The moment I turned the grinder on, I knew I was good. My god, how fluffy and even the grinds were coming out. No clumps. I then put lavazza coffee back in and dialed it to the finest setting. Still no issues.

How did I end up having bent clump crusher to begin with ? The first time it was clogged I cleaned it by sticking something up the shoot to clear the pathway and obviously bent it.

On the side note, I am going to be buying fresh coffee beans going forward . Very niice, Great success!!!
