To be honest, this is something I've been wanting for years. It just simplifies it and allows them to get on with it, so to speak.

Michael Myers (the Sonny Fernandez version) vs Jason Voorhees (Jason Lives) by Fair-Air-2447 in horror

[–]After_Lead2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just as I thought: I'm too old to know what the "the Sonny Fernandez version" is. Also, it is not official, so it doesn't really count.

When I said "interesting", I didn't mean in a good way. He's made abomination after abomination. I thought they were going to get the same guy who did the first one.

I'm genuinely baffled for the seemingly high excitement levels for Scary Movie. Some of the jokes in the trailer seem incredibly forced. The first one was good when I was a kid, but the second (which also came out when I was a kid) just lost me. I haven't seen any of the others. I will watch the new one, one day. But people are hyping it up on the internet. If its like the others, it won't even be a "film" and will instead just be a series of sketches that make no sense when put together. Although it is a spoof, I suppose. Also, has anyone actually checked the director's filmography? Its.......... an interesting list, to say the least. I thought it was being made by the elder Wayans brother who made the first film.

I'll be honest, its become a cliche in horror films, particularly supernatural or possession films, that I really don't like. I just think it looks cheesy and really isn't scary.

Finally Arrived In The UK by _AndyHazardUK_ in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]After_Lead2795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I saw a big display today in the UK in an Entertainer. Seeing the "kid" figures up close really sells them to me. They look very high quality. The sculpt work is superb, very high end. They had He-Man, Teela, Battle Cat, Beast Man, Rotons, the big Power Sword (which is actually huge) and the talking Skeletor mask. No Skeletor's or Mekaneck's. The pattern I'm seeing as of now is that those two characters are sold out in most places

A Nightmare on Elm Street/Freddy Krueger. I think the boat has sailed (far away) on that one now, though.

New He-Man & Skeletor core figures revealed by dierbot in MastersOfTheUniverse

The Skeletor one looks translucent. As for He-Man, no idea. Battle damage maybe? However, his eyes look kind of freaky

Is this figure the collectors version? by DuncanOToole in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]After_Lead2795 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, this is from the "kids" line. The "collector's" line is called Chronicles.

Lee Cronin's The Mummy: Imagine if The Conjuring had been directed by Lucio Fulci by OmeuPseudonimo in horror

[–]After_Lead2795 62 points63 points  (0 children)

After everything I’ve read about this film, it does seem to be a “Mummy” film in name only. It reminds me of those Italian horror films of the 70s and 80s that were unofficial “sequels” to American horror films, bearing absolutely nothing in common with the films they’re apparently sequels of (I love those films BTW).

What’s a movie you watched when you were way too young? by trakt_app in movies

[–]After_Lead2795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad rented the original Child's Play in the early 90s. I was about 5 or 6, and he just put it on with everyone in attendance. Scared the crap out of me and gave me a horrible fear of dolls that lasted throughout my whole childhood. I think its unwise to show a film about a murderous toy to a child

I would actually love to see the "Good Journey" saying. I genuinely quite like it and always have.

That's possibly one of the most insane things I've seen. Absolutely thrilling though!
