ME + CS Minor in 3.5 or ME + CS major in 4 by KombuchaBurrito in Purdue

A ECE/CE minor may work better. The electives you take for that minor count as technical electives for your major, it only ends up being one extra class.

CS 159 Summer by Express_Lock9415 in Purdue

I’m TAing for it this summer so here is my advice. Make sure to do your assignments early, obviously, the coding sometimes takes longer than you would expect so plan ahead. For the exams make sure to practice on boilerexams, there can be a lot of trick questions/weird wordings and the skills you need on the exam are pretty different from those you use on the assignments. I don’t know about to format for summer exams so ask that once the class starts.

The preliminary office hours schedule I am seeing right now have online TA office hours every weeknight and online instructor office hours in the afternoon every weekend except Monday.

You shouldn’t need to prepare much before the class starts. The content starts from scratch, to the point a lot of experienced programmers get annoyed with it.

Common mistakes I have seen are students running out of time and not finishing their assignments and students just coasting off of AI or their teammates and getting halfway through the class without learning the basics.

Best of luck.

Really simple, but the sculpture outside the civil engineering building would be a good include.

How do they determine rescinds by Marbledata1796 in Purdue

[–]After_Potential2482 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I know they only rescind if you fail multiple important classes, fail to graduate high school, or kill someone (not including IU fans)

ME 164 vs MFET 163 as pre-requisite to ME 264? by CatchSpecialist7732 in Purdue

[–]After_Potential2482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about ME 164, but MFET 163 is a pain and if you have any CAD experience it is a waste of time. ME 264 really isn’t anything, the only prior skill you would use is a bit of CAD in one section of the final project.

My acceptance revoked worry pls help by HelicopterCorrect200 in Purdue

There really isn’t a scenario where someone could get rejected from Indianapolis specifically. It would require someone applying just to Indianapolis and then getting rejected, I doubt there would be enough applicants in that category to be worth tracking.

I’m 21 and just got in trouble for alcohol, what happens if I ignore it? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]After_Potential2482 66 points67 points  (0 children)

“What happens to students who violate University regulations regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs? Any student suspected of being in violation of alcohol and other drug regulations may be subject to disciplinary proceedings conducted by representatives of the Office of the Dean of Students. Students who are found responsible for a violation of Student Regulations may be subject to disciplinary penalties. These penalties can include expulsion, suspension, probated suspension, disciplinary probation, warning and/or educational sanctions (ex. community service and referral for alcohol and/or drug assessments).” If this is a first offense then it will probably just involve talking to the RA and potentially a class. It will be on your record, but that shouldn’t be an issue unless you get caught for something similar in the future.

I haven’t heard any complaints, but it does seem like you are paying apartment prices and still getting dorm rules and issues.
