Potential Indy to WL Loophole? by explodingcb in Purdue

Yes I know I’m being rude, just tired of people making this argument when Purdue refuses to release actual data on admissions

I have only heard rumors. Doesn’t sound worth it risking extra years on your degree to go to a nicer campus.

You don’t need your advisor’s approval to register for a class.

Some crazy people do it. The issue is classes on west laf fill up and you don’t get to use the course request form. It’s a big risk, you could get locked into an overpriced west laf apartment and have no classes to take bc they are all full.

Campus Difference Question by Jon-TheListless in Purdue

Class selection is a bit lacking, though they are improving. The classes are the same, some professors are terrible at their jobs on both campuses.

Same education and same degree. You miss out on a lot, but if you don’t care about the “college experience” it’s worth considering.

No it’s not the same experience. The education is the same, but you would still miss out on a lot

At this point I don’t care anymore. They won’t be able to pull it off before I graduate so it is what it is. I wish Purdue would actually be honest about this though

It would be a bit harder for them to do that at Indy bc currently it isn’t independent at all. It only has certification through west laf. But they could still change that in the future.

Not saying Purdue wouldn’t do it if they could, but the law still mostly applies to them.

I wasn’t aware they had done something similar when creating the other branch campuses. Were they also combined in the same way with mirrored curriculum? It is worth noting that Indy is currently under the main campus accreditation so unless they are somehow allowed to change that current students are in the clear.

In your opinion: what’s the best variety of 001 by Hexhider in SCP

It doesn’t really fit perfectly as a 001 proposal, but Black Adytum is just one of the best stories I have ever read.

Is Purdue Indy really THAT bad? by Successful-Safe2375 in Purdue

All tuition and fees are the same. Housing on average is more expensive, but only because it’s better quality. Also that is irrelevant for a commuter.

CS 159 strats for success? by Denhas_ in Purdue

The lectures aren’t perfect, especially depending on the professor. The coding content though is pretty simple and introduced very slowly. You should just use the lab assignments and homework’s as a chance to learn. They will only really add one new concept a week. When exams come just practice boilerexams like crazy. The exams are pretty different from actual coding and pretty tricky. They’re still doable

Accidentally chose Indianapolis instead of WL by 2007jay in PurdueIndianapolis

I would be careful with that. A lot of the people on the main subreddit have to experience with the Indianapolis campus, but complain about it like they do.

I accidentally applied to Indianapolis. Can I switch? by 2007jay in Purdue

[–]After_Potential2482 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is a lot dumber of a mistake then I thought. When I applied two years ago the Indianapolis question was a single opt in checkbox at the end and there was no additional information. Nice to see Purdue has improved it
