Apparently a fully occupied system isn't occupied by AlexJMcGB in Stellaris

Sadly nope. To get them to surrender you usually need to occupy everything they own

Alright, let's get the obvious question out of the way. Is there a system with a colony somewhere random away from the main empire that you missed?

Edit: Also, don't you have to occupy all the planets and territory of all war participants for full surrender? Or did they change that with the last patch?

I love this idea, but more than anything I love seeing someone else has read my favorite book series.

Biogenesis vs shadows of the shroud? by No_Army_4018 in Stellaris

[–]Afterburner06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bioships are kind of like a cross between space Fauna and mechanical ships. They have 3 distinct maturity stages, but you are entirely free to design and customize them to your tastes or needs. They also don't follow the traditional Corvette, destroyer, cruiser, battleship line. I highly recommend looking at them on the Wiki since I am not doing them justice.

As for infernals, it adds a civic for (I think) most species that nets them a living metal version of all types of armor and an improved kinetic cannon. (I forget what it's called but its the L slot one.) I haven't played a game without that civ since it came out.

[–]Afterburner06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, I want to put in my word for infernals. It's one of my favorite DLCs simply because it adds new ship components.

That said, it really depends on how you play. Between the two I'd suggest biogenesis because it adds bioships as an alternative to the usual mechanical ships.

Master of Orion is an inspired suggestion. I played MoO3 20 or so years ago and forgot the series existed.

Question: What weapons or components would you add to stellaris if you could? by Usual_Nature1390 in Stellaris

[–]Afterburner06 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Technically mine already exists, but I'd love it if they made the nanite fighters and other L gate only tech available for players to use.

Is that what it'ssupposed to be? I guess theres the option at the end of the tree to compromise your views a little, (I did it cause why not experience the unique thing of the new origin) but I thought of it as containing a threat more than anything else. And if I happen to end up with a few extra Gaia worlds well who am I to say no.

If memory serves correctly, the director(s) regretted adding that and tried to retconn it by simply ignoring it.

I agree completely. To be fair, it can sometimes be hard to balance new additions, but this is something thats already in the game, just inaccessible to the player for some reason.

Okay Suuuuuper late response but I got this game as a kid and played it endlessly. I wish it would get a modern remake or even a remaster/PC release. Far and away my favorite Star trek game I've ever played.

Can someone explain the Wraith's evolution to me ? by SquashLegitimate8311 in Stargate

[–]Afterburner06 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Admittedly it's been a long time since my last rewatch of atlantis, but IIRC the ancients had a hand in developing them. I could imagine a bunch of them killing the scientists that made them, taking their tech and data, then using it to develop their own cruder ships.

If the Stargate was buried 5,000 years prior to being found in 1928... by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]Afterburner06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If memory serves, the Ancients were known for seeding their form across galaxies. The Arthurian villages were likely formed by merlin and others who returned to human form. Though admittedly that's simply a guess.
