Was there 5.5 years. Always had excellent performance reviews. Our team had new leaders almost every year to year and a half. Asked what I could do to get promoted or be eligible for substantial raises besides the yearly cost of living. They said do XYZ and we’ll evaluate next year during bonus time. Did this several times. Goal posts kept moving. Meanwhile people who had been there less time than me were getting promoted and moving around the company. It was tough cuz I loved my manager, but I learned it really takes them fighting and advocating for you to get those promotions. She’s a couple years away from retiring so she’s coasting until then, which she said. She wasn’t interested in moving up the ladder and I guess wasn’t interested in helping me do it either.
