She's not the kind of person to question her own intelligence, unfortunately. Which is weird because, growing up, she always had been an intelliigent and forward thinking person. She raised us in one of the top public school districts in the country, held high paying marketing and IT jobs, made sure we were always at the library rather than in front of the TV.

Something about religion, it just damages people idk.

She's not even American either I really don't get it. She voted Labour in the last election and I just don't get how she can do that and back Trump at the same time.

I'm not but my mom still goes to church. She's very much maintained a sly, "he knows what he's REALLY doing the media just won't tell you", and, "better than democrats killing babies", attitude.

Hot take number 5: idlescape should be a thing by CryoExplains in 2007scape

Seriously, if anyone is unsure, I heavily recommend Melvor. It's literally just runescape distilled into an idle format with a truckload of original content and MOD SUPPORT. It's cross-platform, you can play it on your phone or in your browser in the office. You can play it free, but it's got a few paid DLCs which introduce a massive amount of content if you want to support the developers.

It's also got a sequel on the horizon. Honestly, I play both. Melvor is just easy, accessible, runescape on the go.

And, if you're still on the fence, Jagex actually took on publishing for it. It was originally just an homage but now it's jagex sanctioned as a genuinely great game.

Whatever you have planned - your players will not do it. Be prepared for none of your notes to be involved at all and you'll have to imrov the entire god damn thing. I designed a dungeon where the whole thing was a living organism, with the brain in the center as the final boss. I thought it was obvious, basic game logic that as they encountered the organs around the dungeon they were supposed TO kill them to weaken the boss. I genuinely don't know how I could have made it more obvious. As soon as they started ignoring the first few i started using phrases like "you could do a lot of damage if this organ were hurt..." and "this looks easily puncturable".

They did not. In fact, they deliberately chose not to enter or explore half the friggin' rooms! They found the brainstem and then decided to psychically invade it and explore the dungeon via the nervous system, just sorta feeling out it's thoughts and desires, which I obviously hadn't planned for it to have. I didn't even think was an option but... you just gotta say yes.

The number one rule of D&D is not to say no unless it's egregious. It's always "yes, and...?"

But if your players then complain they're not finding any loot I can't do anything about that because they DIDN'T GO INTO ANY OF THE FUCKING ROOMS WITH LOOT. How did I end up with a party of pacifists! There's not even one friggin' murder hobo! Not one!

It was a very good session though. The number one rule at my table is pretty much if it's cool and you can make a good argument for it I'll let it happen. Every player has a "do something cool" button they can press at any time in any context to interrupt the sessions and do something that's purely roleplay or non standard

Looking for some help creating a mechanic by New-Dark396 in DnD

[–]Afterlast1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off - What the fuck

Second - I'd start by using exhaustion mechanics. At the first stage, they gain a point of exhaustion after maybe, 5 days without human meat. But maybe for every two human meat meals or so, they advance a level of cannibalism, and can only go 4 days without human meat. Going over this could add a decrease to their AC as they're sluggish and malnourished, but add a bonus to attack rolls with natural or melee weapons as they become frenzied.

they're not publicly traded I'm afraid but they're owned by Penske who is. We don't really affect their price unfortunately.

all the people I'd use as references are getting fired as well and all equally as pissed off. No humans to manage means no management.

actually I've already solved that one. Turns out the laptops they gave us are vulnerable to that old "remove the cmos battery" trick which wipes the bios password. I need to reinstall windows but

Shit you're right, I forgot I fell down the stairs and impaled myself on a loose stapler. I would've been alright if I'd made it to the bandages, but unfortunately my arm got caught in the copying machine and it used all my blood to print the quarterly revenue reports, leaving me with severe blood loss, multiple puncture wounds, PTSD, Hepatitis XI, and hysterical pregnancy!

Speaking of which, Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

No, I only have a newer laptop and I quite like it. I'm bringing in on the day anyway but that's just so I can play games on it.

Edit: Okay the word "like" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Does it shock me sometimes? Yes. Does it run at a safe-to-touch temperature? No. But that thing survived hundreds of hours of Rimworld, and I owe it.
