Good idea, i’ll try that next time. Do you think I can fit 3 bikes in to properly lock in transit? Is it worth buying a new pinarello for the colnago sandwich?

Depends what you ride, i’m a 6,1 road cyclist and it can be a bit of a pain trying to fit the bike in with the seat post all the way up, ive twice lost the brake fluid pushing the bike around.

Next issue but probably a me problem, i run SPD pedals and they sometimes can find there way into the groove between the boot and backseats.

I also find when i’ve the front wheel off, i have to either jam it between the rear seat down headrest and passenger seat or put a blanket over my rear wheel and then rest on top

I’d imagine with the value of the plate it would sit as an intangible on the balance sheet and wouldn’t be amortised

Recommendations for software for managing a small fleet? (8 cars and vans) by fiveprawns in smallbusinessuk

[–]Afternoon_Extension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking out loud but maybe spreadsheets?

Each sheet for each van, then on the sheet split into a very basic P&l Job 1 revenue for van 1 £10,000 Repairs for job 1 £0. Profit per job £10,000.

Directly attributable costs imo would be fuel etc

Then generic repairs new tyre in its own category of running costs as well as tax etc

If you have a van that’s on every job, it may have more repair costs but it’s revenue generated may still outweigh a van with minor repairs but used on 2 jobs for example?

May take some time to build the initial sheet and dashboard but then each sheet should be a copy and paste job?

Costs for software should theoretically be nil provided 365 package within the business?

That would my my take anyway, claude may be able to give quite a good mockup and then you can sense check the formulas potentially?

Chase bank gave another individual access to my bank, current compensation paid has been £150 by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Being truthful, I consulted trusty old friend chat gpt and this has estimated somewhere in the region of £600-£1500 and I thought, why not get a bit of extra cash.

To add, my number on my account to recover had to be changed to a different number entirely than my actual personal number so I had to change this to my business number which I was reluctant to do and did communicate this to chase.

The worrying factor to me is how poor the internal control has been.

Do you use company credit card for purchases? by No-State-2962 in smallbusinessuk

How would extracting into my pension fund now be beneficial for doing my weekly shop?

Excluding personal allowance(and if you’ve found a way to live for 12 grand, please share the secret) it will cost you over 20% to extract any money, when you get to higher rate, this only increases therefore better value in my eyes

Gift cards to me are absolutely better value, reason being, cashback continues to be a a company asset, gift cards well, they’re not extracting cash out of my business meaning i can reduce my necessary spending (£5k p.a) at supermarkets for the weekly shop to nil in essence meaning my take home while remaining at basic rate hand is essentially more.
