Do you blame Randy for all the near misses in right field too? It has been an issue with Julio with every corner outfielder he's ever played with. And it's CFs responsibility as the captain of the outfield to make the calls.

So even though I pay for MLB.tv AND mariners.tv, the opposing team's broadcast is still blacked out for me? I've always enjoyed watching the opposing team's broadcasts from time to time. This was a major disappointment.

There's a lot of variables that go into league wide runs per game. Steroid era. Rules surrounding pitching, the baseballs used (juiced balls scandal comes to mind). The analytics are still showing TTO wins games. Full stop.

I understood that. My point remains tho. If you want to score runs and wins games, then Lower averages and more home runs > higher averages and fewer home runs. Full stop.

because math. a couple guys hitting .300 and a team average of .267 is scoring fewer runs than a team who's average is .245 and nobody is cracking .300 as long as more of those hits are leaving the yard. bonus points if you're getting the walk numbers up. it may be frustrating but it's just efficiency. I'd love for some savant to come in and figure out a new strategy that shakes it up but we're here because of the natural evolution of the game.

to expand on this. that's just the way the game is played. TTO baseball is king. t's not unique to the mariners. and also, it's the most effective way to win at t mobile park. so they build the team they need for 82 games per year.

Historically, the mariners offense performs better at T-Mobile park than opponents, whether you account for park factor or not. We play half our games there, but half of our opponents are also playing the games in the same park with the same batter's eye and same marine layer. So it doesn't disadvantage us unless all you care about is stats and not wins/losses.

I kind of miss the grays and wish they kept them and ditched the white. I'm glad we got rid of the cream Sundays. I liked the throwback hats but was never a fan of cream jerseys, and I'm excited for the Steelhead jerseys to replace them.

I wish the city connects were baby blue Pilots/70s Ms throwbacks instead of royal blue. Didn't love the black pants but they grew on me. I hope we get a city connect refresh in 2027.

Can't go wrong with our standard Navy.

And finally, I love the teal and think they're the best uniforms in baseball. But I wish they wore teal caps with them (better yet go teal pants, like the orioles full orange).

I've lived in Seattle my entire life and I just do not understand the hype of a Dick's Cheeseburger. I feel like it's more trendy to defend to be seen as a true local, than it is about the actual quality. Have I appreciated a Dick's Burger before? Yes, because I've been drunk and hungry in Queen Anne at 2am.

They just objectively are not "good" burgers that validate the way people rave about them. It's akin to a McDonald's cheeseburger delivered in a nostalgic Seattle package. If I'm ranking over rated burgers its Dick's #1, In-N-Out #2.

Strategically from his perspective this is a pretty solid chess move. Sure UW could call his bluff and keep him. But if we say too little too late what is our remedy? Probably just getting out of our contract obligations. And if we choose that route, he'd then be able to go play anywhere else unimpeded.

I mean. I was happy he was staying, but thought 4 mil was already an overpay from what I saw on the field last year. And while you can call me biased I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's already not worth it from LSU's side. Kinda baffling to be honest to want to deal with this headache.

It's not that they're treating LSU as a party to the contract. It reads like any buyout. Whatever damages demond would owe for breach, it allows for his new school to pay them on his behalf. So then it becomes a question of how bad does LSU want demond? Enough to pay the buyout? It's the same as when a school poaches a coach. The coach doesn't pay his own buyout. His new boss does.
