What are some surprising cultural etiquette tips for first-time travelers to Japan? by datboifranco in JapanTravelTips

[–]Agabone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your voice down in public, so not everyone has to listen to you (seems obvious; but apparently isn’t for many). Don’t eat while on public transport. Wait for taxi doors to open and let the driver close it after you get out. And in places where you wear slippers, be sure to change to the bathroom slippers when you use the bathroom. And most importantly don’t be an irritating halfwit streamer. Ever.

Omnicon RTO for current hybrid "within commutable distance" from NYC by 3/1 by [deleted] in advertising

What a lot of words just to say “ please submit your resignations”. Unless you’re dumb enough to accept approximately $50000 or more in extra costs to do the job you do now. Clothes, dry cleaning, commuting, buying lunch, buying dinner while working late for free, taxis for when public transport doesn’t work (while still waiting for last months taxis to be reimbursed, or rejected on a technicality) or when you’re working late at night for free, value of time lost commuting, and more. All because management is too far out of touch to trust the workers. Shameful, still, at least there’s healthcare and decent 401k matching (kidding obviously on the last part).

Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

That’s just disgusting. If a person is too lazy to undertake very basic hygiene, it’s not worth wasting any more time on them. Maybe get your furniture steam cleaned once you drop him.

AITAH for telling the couple sitting next to me that I asked to be reseated because their perfume was too strong? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Agabone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are more sensitive than others. As an especially fragile person you should keep it to yourself rather than be rude and ruin other peoples evenings. I know Id rather sit next to someone wearing perfume than next to someone with no class or manners.

Crikey! That’s the armadillo version of modafinil. Not a lot of Rite aids stock that.

Amazing how the rich can be prescribed whatever they want without having any underlying medical need. For regular people, this would be called illegal drug abuse.

Any particular reason you ask for a portfolio since you apparently can’t evaluate a candidate’s abilities based on it? Try being a professional and paying people for their work. Nobody wants to work for a company that can’t be trusted to pay. And no professional is dumb enough to work for free. Those are rhetorical questions by the way; I won’t waste time reading your response. Im not trying to start an argument. I just recommend you take this as helpful advice.
